Other: Name : Adith Krishnan Enrollment date : January 2021The Front end development course offered by Skill Lync is highly comprehensive in nature. The course work is neatly structured with over 24 hours of lecture videos and 200+ hours of coding. We start by learning the basics, followed by advanced concepts of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript, AJAX and JSON and then move on to also learn associated libraries like Bootstrap and jQuery. The good thing about this course is that there are assignments to complete based on a week's video learnings that enables us to implement tools, technologies and methods learnt in the videos. These assignments are building blocks, leading up to the final portfolio project of a complete responsive e-commerce website that we will have to finish by the end of the course. Though challenging it teaches us to not be completely reliant on the videos and try to get external help like reading several articles, googling, stack overflow etc to find a solution to the problems that arise. This according to me felt like the best way to learn things, through practical implementation and Skill Lync equips us with that skill. The support team and mentorship is also good and they quickly resolve all our doubts and issues through a zoom meet. One suggestion is that a modern Javascript framework like React could also be added in the module. React being very popular in a lot of companies these days, it would be great to learn it along with other tools thereby giving us an additional edge in employability. I recommend this course to anyone interested to become a front end developer.
