More about this course
  • Mental health problems often develop during the teenage period., with 1 in 5 teenagers dealing with mental health issues.
  • To find out how to recognise, prevent and tackle these problems, try this 5-week course specifically designed for young people.
  • The course will begin by introducing you to the concept of mental health and discussing why young people are more vulnerable to mental health concerns.
  • We'll go over the causes of some common mental health concerns, what to do when you experience problems, and how to boost your mental health and feel better.
  • On this course, you'll learn about a range of mental health concerns. This will include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, autism, ADHD, substance abuse, antisocial behaviour and psychosis.
  • You'll discover how to recognize symptoms, and we'll teach you some exercises that'll help you manage them. For example, we'll go over some breathing exercises that will help you deal with anxiety.
  • At the end of the course, we'll discuss how to increase your resilience. Resilience is important because it helps you deal with negative thoughts and experiences.
  • We'll teach you how to talk to others about your problems, take care of yourself properly and create an action plan. You'll also learn about getting professional help when your mental health is something you can't deal with alone.
