Other: I attended the first year flagship course. The faculty is extraordinarily good. The peer group is great, both in terms of skills and personality. There is a lot to learn. Moreover, if you a have typical IT experience or want to explore a career in IT, then this the place to attend. They make sure that each and every candidate is placed. Median at my time hovered between rupees 9-10 lakhs per annum. Further, when I compare it with IMT Ghaziabad, new IIMs, and TAPMI etc. It beats them hands down. However, in terms of exposure, placements and learning it is more or less at par with NIMS, XIMB, etc.

Q:   What is the selection process for Executive MBA and what is the minimum CAT score required at Great Lakes Institute of Management?

A:

The selection process for the Executive MBA (EMBA) programme at Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) is a multi-stage process that evaluates candidates based on various factors. Here's a brief overview of the selection process:

1. Application: Candidates are required to fill out an online application form and submit it along with the required documents, such as academic transcripts, work experience certificates, and identity proof.

2. Shortlisting: Based on the information provided in the application form, GLIM shortlists candidates for further rounds of selection. The shortlisting criteria may vary from year to year but typically include academic performance, work experience, and scores in standardized entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, or GMAT.

3. Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a GD session to evaluate their communication skills, leadership potential, and ability to work in a team.

4. Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who clear the GD round are called for a PI session with the GLIM faculty and admissions committee to assess their overall profile, including academic achievements, work experience, and extracurricular activities.

5. Final Selection: Based on the performance in the GD and PI rounds, GLIM selects candidates for admission to the EMBA program. The minimum CAT score required for admission to the EMBA programme at GLIM is not fixed and may vary from year to year based on various factors such as the number of applicants and the overall profile of the shortlisted candidates.

However, GLIM typically looks for candidates with a CAT score of 70 percentile or higher for admission to its EMBA program. It is essential to note that while CAT scores are an essential factor in the selection process, they are not the only factor considered by GLIM. The institute looks for well-rounded candidates with strong academic performance, relevant work experience, and leadership potential.
