  • Candidates with 0-3 years of work experience (by June 30th, 2025) can apply for the Two-year PGDM
  • Candidates with 2-10 years of work experience (by April 30th, 2025) can apply for the One-year PGPM with a valid GMAT, CAT, XAT, or NMAT score. Scores from previous years are also accepted.

Speaking on the commencement of the admission process, Mr. Gautam Lakhamraju, COO and Admissions Director, of Great Lakes Institute of Management said, Great Lakes had an exceptional year with record placement and admission outcomes last year. The PGDM Class of 2024 witnessed impressive placements, with the highest annual CTC reaching INR 37 lakhs, with 48 students being offered PPO/PPIs post their summer internships.

Upcoming Admissions Deadline for Great Lakes PGDM & PGPM: January 4, 2024

January 2, 2024: The admission deadline for Great Lakes Institute of Management's two-year postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) and one-year postgraduate programme in management (PGPM) for the 2024 intake is January 4, 2024. Great Lakes Institute of Management is one of the top B-schools in the nation, with campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon. 

Eligibility Criteria for PGPM 2024-25:

  • A minimum work experience of 24 months by 30 April, 2024
  • At least one valid score among CAT 2022/23, XAT 2023/24, GMAT taken after 1 January 2021 & NMAT 2022/23

Eligibility Criteria for PGDM 2024-26:

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 36 months of work experience as on June 30th, 2024 only are eligible.
  • At least one valid score among CAT 2022/23, XAT 2023/24, GMAT taken after 1st Jan 2021 & CMAT 2023/24; please note, NMAT will not be accepted for the 2 year PGDM.

Great Lakes, Chennai, Gets AACSB Accreditation

November 11, 2023: The Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai has earned the esteemed AACSB accreditation, which is regarded as one of the top business school accreditations globally. AACSB, which was established in 1916, is the world's biggest business education alliance, linking instructors, students, and businesses. It is also the longest-running global certifying body for business schools. Great Lakes is now among the world's top educational institutions thanks to the AACSB accreditation, which also acknowledges the school's dedication to cutting-edge pedagogy, industry-relevant curriculum, and research. 

Great Lakes, Chennai, is already accredited by AMBA (UK) in addition to AACSB. Great Lakes to accept NMAT Scores for the One Year MBA Program. Application Deadline on Dec 1, 2023

November 7, 2023: Admissions are now being accepted for the full-time one-year Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) and two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at Great Lakes Institute of Management, one of the top B-schools in the nation with campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon, starting in the academic year 2024–2025. The institute has also declared that, in addition to CAT 2022/23, XAT 2023/24, and GMAT taken after January 1, 2021, it will accept NMAT scores (2022 onward) for the PGPM.  

The GMAT, CAT, and XAT will still be accepted by the PGDM.  While the PGDM welcomes students with 0–3 years of experience, the PGPM requires candidates to have at least 2 years of experience.

The application Deadline (Cycle 1) for both the programs is 1st Dec 2023.

  • Typically, candidates with 2-10 years of work experience are considered. However, exceptional students with 21+ months of experience (by April 30th, 2023) may be considered for applying.

Great Lakes Institute of Management Invites Applications for PGDM and PGPM Programme; Apply Before April 14

April 1, 2021: Following the CMAT test, Great Lakes Institute of Management, a renowned B-school in the country with campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon, has opened the application window for both full-time programmes from April 1 to April 14, 2021. Candidates can apply to the PGPM 2021-22 & PGDM 2021-23 within this window, or upload their test scores if they have already submitted. Great Lakes, Chennai to Conduct Term Zero for Incoming Students

May 12, 2020: Chennai-based management institute, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is conducting ‘Term Zero’ for incoming students. The session will be about interaction with leading industry professionals and prominent academic leaders such as Dr Ashwath Damodaran (NYU Stern), Dr Dipak Jain (President, CEIBS, Former Dean, Kellogg and INSEAD), Dr Hayagreeva Rao (Stanford) and Dr John Bilson (Dean, IIT Stuart). The programme will allow students to gain experience and guidance from some of the leading executives worldwide, in addition to masterclasses and seminars that will allow them to continue their path to develop leadership and management skills.

During this term, students will also witness CXO Talks that would include sessions by Chairman and MD Nestle India Suresh Narayanan; Former Chairman Infosys and Former MD Ashok Leyland R Seshasayee; Senior VP & CIO of Cambia Mohan Nair; MD Accenture Strategy Ganesan Ramachandran; and CTO-TCS Ananth Krishnan.

As the academic session 2020 is expected to begin in August based on AICTE guidelines, this initiative will help and train the future management students for a journey of transition before the academic year starts. This is an optional value-added programme for students at no cost.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. Many top companies visit our college to recruit students. They provide summer internship opportunities. The average salary package offered is 1.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, Deloitte, etc.

overall i put in decent category and good in terma of many other famous colleges.

Placements: placements for pgdm range from 11 to 20+ but average placement pacakge is around 14 -15 lakhs per annum. overall a decent college if u dont have options to compensate like iims or any good iits.placements were of 16 lakhs ,17 lakhs,and so on but maximum students are between 14 15 lakh

If worked hard in study period, the ROI is good.

Placements: Our batch witnessed an excellent season of placements this year. Business and Strategy Consulting came up with the most job offering industry, followed by Technology Consulting. The highest domestic package offered was 33.26 Lacs per annum. The season saw participation from major recruiters like Accenture, ADP, Brain, Bristlecone, Deloitte, Cognizant, E&Y GDS, FedEx, HCL, Infosys, Incedo, Optum, Tiger Analytics, Zoom, and ZS Associates.

The return of investment from this college is not as good as it could be.

Placements: The institute helps us to get exposed to an appropriate mix of knowledge and experience of the real-world. During our placement term, the institute observed an excellent placement record of over 97% with the highest salary pacakhge of 13 LPA being offered. Maximum offers are made by TCS, Deloitte US & India, Accenture, HCL, Aditya Birla Capital, ADP, Amazon, Barclays, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc.

Best institute for the placements.

Placements: Our college is one of the best colleges for placements in PGDM. Almost 80% of students get placements at our college. The highest package offered for our course was 29 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 5 LPA. The average package offered at our college was 9 lpa. The top recruiters were EY, Amazon, Microsoft, eBay, Intel, etc.
