IIM Trichy admission to the management course is based on CAT scores, followed by WAT, GD & PI porcess. IIM Trichy accepts both qualifying CAT cutoff and final CAT cutoff for admission. However, the institute do not release CAT cutoffs in the public domain and are exclusively accessible only via account login to candidates who have appeared for the exam. Considering the previous year cutoff trends, the estimated CAT 2023 cut off percentiles for IIM Trichy will range between 94 and 95 for the General category students. 

On the basis of IIM admission criteria 2023, IIM Trichy qualifying CAT cutoff 2022 was 93 for the General category students. This year the estimated qualifying CAT cutoff is 93 for the General category students. For SC and ST category students, the estimated qualifying cutoffs are 54 and 40, respectively. 

IIM Trichy has a highly competitive and rigorous admission process for all its programmes. The selection process typically involves an initial screening of candidates based on their CAT percentile scores, followed by a Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test.  Apart from CAT, the institute also accepts scores from other national and international level entrance exams such as GMAT, GRE, and GATE.

The candidate's academic records in their bachelor's degree, high school education, and any relevant certifications or diplomas are also considered. Work experience is particularly important for executive programmes as it helps the admission committee understand the candidate's exposure to the corporate world and their potential for growth in the programme. Overall, the admission process is highly selective, and only a small percentage of candidates are selected for admission to the various programs at IIM Trichy.

The qualifying CAT cutoff of IIM Trichy is the minimum percentile that candidates must meet to be eligible for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round while the final CAT cutoff is the percentile that candidates must obtain to participate in the WAT/GD-PI round. The two-year PGPM course of IIM Trichy is divided into six terms. Hence, there are three terms in one year of the programme. The first year curriculum has core subjects.
