Great Hostel Life, Don't Expect Too Much as It's a Government College. Give Your Best.
Placements: As of 2025, many companies visiting the campus are giving job letters to our seniors in different kinds of packages. For example, TCS hired almost 110 students from our college for junior developer, front-end developer, and other service-based roles. Students mostly get internships in the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters. Also, more and more companies are visiting the campus, and placements are improving day by day.
Infrastructure: Spread across 255 acres, the campus offers good facilities and infrastructure for academics and extracurricular activities. The campus has every department of each branch of Computer Science and Engineering, with laboratories, academic blocks, a library, separate playgrounds, an auditorium, canteen, and cafeteria. Hostels are the best part of being in Jabalpur Engineering College. Everything about the hostels is amazing—separate hostels for girls and boys, and apart from that, the hostels are very spacious and fun to live in, with a friendly environment and an attached mess.
Faculty: To be honest, the faculty members of the college are experienced but a little lazy too, as they don't force you to study and don't care much about what you are doing after college. If you want to study more or in depth, you have to be specific with the professors, as they won't help unless it's necessary. For exams, I think they are not that tough. Just prepare what the teachers have taught and do some practice on your own, and you will get good marks for sure.
Other: Jabalpur Engineering College is one of the most reputed and oldest colleges in Central India. Apart from that, the fee structure is really simple. The hostel life is simply the best. You could opt for a private mess if you prefer; otherwise, each hostel has its own mess. There are 11 hostels in total: 8 for boys and 3 for girls. The infrastructure is okay but can be improved a lot. The faculty members must push students harder and learn new skills themselves so that they can teach the students as well.

B.E. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2027

Decent college with Rs. 22,500 per year as tuition fees with decent infrastructure.
Placements: In Batch 2021-25, there are many students placed in TCS, which is a mass hiring recruiter that comes to JEC, but the package is not much better. Around 90 students from CSE, IT, AI, and ECE branches are placed in TCS NINJA package. Around 60 students are placed in its Digital package. There are many recruiters that come for hiring. I think the placement condition is improving now, and it will be better in the coming years. One senior also got a package of around 24 Lacs this year (off-campus).
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in the CSE department are decent enough, as i7 computer systems are available in labs. The only thing is that labs are not open for you all the time; access to the lab is only during lab periods. Wi-Fi is available, but it is difficult to find the password. Classrooms are decent enough, as smartboards are there. The college canteen is not very large but decent for us. There are not many facilities provided in hostels from the college side. The hostels are not very good in infrastructure, but hostel life is the best in this college's hostel. The mess is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. You can easily bond with teachers as they are friendly in nature, except for one or two professors. Their teaching quality is also good, though students may get bored. As per the course, the curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are difficult, but you can easily pass if you have ever read, even a little bit. The best thing is that it is an autonomous college, so exams are held properly on time, regardless of the RGPV schedule.
Other: If you want to take a partial drop for JEE Main, this college is best for you as there is not much burden in the first year.

Review of Jabalpur Engineering College.
Placements: In core branches, the placement record is very low, but in CS and IT, companies like TCS, IBM place students. The highest on-campus package is 10 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Most of the students are placed in the role of GETs, although the companies allow all branches to sit for the placement, very few students clear the cutoff.
Infrastructure: Books in the library are old and not kept well. The library is very big, but the books mentioned in the syllabus are very few in number. Labs for core branches like EE have old machines which do not work properly, and the lab periods are not taken seriously.
Faculty: The teachers are cooperative as most of the faculty is guest faculty, and they listen to the students. The curriculum is updated regularly in accordance with AICTE, but the teachers' notes are not sufficient for clearing the exams. Students have to prepare by themselves through YouTube or online classes. The exams are not too difficult, and any student can clear the exam if they study with average dedication.

B.Tech. in Mechatronics Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.4
3Placements4Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Faculty for other branches is good, but not good for Mechatronics. Infrastructure is good.
Placements: Placements for B.Tech are not that good. Only 20 to 30 percent of students get placed, and no placement assistance is provided. This year, TCS recruited 20 students with a monthly salary of 27,000. So, the placement rate is not good, and overall placements are also not good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the Mechatronics and AI branch is good. There is only a single building for AI and Mechatronics, but the condition of the building is good. Overall, the college infrastructure is good, and a new ground was made this year. All the gymnasium facilities are available, so overall infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are not that much dedicated to teaching. Only a few faculty members are there in the Mechatronics department, and they are not even well-educated to teach. Mechatronics is a new branch, and all the subjects are new, so teachers are not so familiar with the subjects and are not able to teach properly.
Other: College is best for ROI because yearly fees for general students are about 23,500, so ROI is great. If we talk about passing students in this year’s pass-out batch, 25 students were placed, and 80 students are in the class. 20 students were placed in TCS with a salary of 27,000 monthly, and the rest were placed in other companies.

Go for IT, this will your the finest decision ever.
Placements: This year, 70% of the students were placed with a salary package of 7 to 8 LPA. The highest package was offered by LNT, which came for mass recruiting this year and placed 11 to 15 students. The lowest package this year was 5 to 6 LPA. The faculty prepared the students for their interviews and helped them with their personality development.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped, and the library is full of books and other resources. The college also offers a lot of extracurricular activities, which is great for developing students' personalities.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very knowledgeable. They have prepared me well for my future and have helped me get ready for the corporate world. The semesters are well planned and knowledge-based, and 99% of the students clear them. The faculty provides guidance to help students prepare for their semesters.

Affordable B.Tech degree .
Placements: So basically I am in 3rd year right now, And as much I have seen in and known from college, there is actually not very high hope of placement because in recent years there was very little placement percentage in the college. But now it's changing; the conditions are raising these days so you can expect a little growth but not to much. The highest package I heard was about 8 lakh for CS branch but for IP it was 2–3 lakh. There are very few companies that recruit from here. If I say percentage wise, it is around the top 5-10% for placement, and for internship, it is around 40%. It doesn't have a proper idea about the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: So facilities are very nominal; it is good for basic needs but not very advanced because labs don't work properly, classrooms are old-fashioned, and infrastructure is totally old. I am not a hostel guy, but as much as I have heard, the rooms are available, but it's not that good you will have to manage by yourself. The library of the college is good, having lots of books related to engineering but not for other fields like magazines.
Faculty: If we talk about teachers, they are helpful, and I would say they are fully qualified to teach, but I think, as per what I have seen, they are lacking in knowledge. I have seen most of the time they use materials to teach. I have rarely seen any teacher teaching with high confidence and knowledge. This course curriculum is very relevant if you want to pursue a career in this field; otherwise, it's not very necessary. But if you say that, does it make students industry-ready? So I would say very little. The semester exams are normal, or, you can say, moderate.
Other: This information is actually very important that I am going to share here: if you are a JEE Main student and are from Madhya Pradesh, have very decent marks in JEE Main, and you have any other future plans and also have very little budget, you can join this course to take a degree and use it for the betterment of society and yourself.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
