Dr BR Ambedkar Open University MA admission is done on the basis of a candidate's performance in the bachelor’s degree exam. The final seat allocation process is carried out in the order of merit of the applicants and seat availability. Candidates are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

BRAOU offers a two-year full-time MA programmee divided into four semesters. The university selects candidates for MA based on their merit in the last qualifying exam. Below are some of the MA specialisations offered at BRAOU:

BRAOU admission for a two-year postgraduate MA course is open to all the citizens of India who hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an Indian University which is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. The selection for MA will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

At the UG level, the university provides a minimum three-year BA, BCom, BSc, and other courses to students. At the PG level, the university provides a minimum two-year MA, MSc, MCom, and various other courses to students. The university also provides an MPhil, PhD, diploma, and certificate courses to students.

The duration of the BRAOU MLISc programme is one year. The maximum duration to complete the course is two years.
