Certificate in Childcare and Development (CCCD)

The open university offers a six-month-long certificate course in Childcare and Development (CCCD). Candidates who passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination and a two-year recognised ITI course after Class 10 and cleared NCVT or GCVT can apply. In order to get a pass certificate in CCCD, a student must secure at least 36% aggregate in each subject.

BAOU offers Certificate courses across 27 specialisations. These courses are taught through two departments, i.e., the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science at the university. Some of the certificate courses offered are in Naturopathy, Indian Poetics, Theatre Arts, Food and Nutrition, Anganwadi Karyakrta, Childcare and Development, etc.

Candidates seeking admission at any of the certificate programmes shall have passed at least Class 8 to Class 12. The eligibility requirements can vary from one specialisation to another. Moreover, the applicant shall be of at least 18 years of age to be eligible for admission in a certificate course. The tuition fee for Certificate courses at BAOU ranges from INR 600 - INR 8,000. BAOU provides a fee concession to female candidates and hence, the fee for male and female students vary.
