BAOU Course Admissions 2024: Fee, Eligibility & Selection, Application Form

Candidates seeking admission must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. For admission to a MA course, it is crucial that the aspirant have a valid UG degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university. Admission to the MA course is offered based on the aspirant’s performance in the last qualifying examinations. The open university offers MA courses in five specialisations in the streams of Humanities & Social Sciences, Mass Communication & Media. The MA specialisations offered by BAOU are Hindi, English, Sociology, Gujarati, Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC). Candidates can apply for any of the MA specialisations after completing graduation.

Aspirants who have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board are eligible to apply for a BA course in BAOU Ahmedabad. BAOU allows admission to either the first or second year of the course. Candidates taking admission in the first year should have a valid bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. No, the university does not conduct any entrance tests for MSW course admission. Admission to the PG-level course is merit-based. Candidates seeking admission in the BBA first year should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam Or Class 10 with ITI, NCVT/GCVT, GSHEB/GOSE Class 12 English exam or Class 10 with a three-year Diploma are also eligible. Additionally, for direct admission to second-year, students shall have passed Class and have a one-year Diploma in the relevant subject. Furthermore, for admission in the third year, the aspirant should have completed an advanced Diploma in the relevant subject as per the chosen BBA specialisation.
