Yes, UPRTOU MBA degree is valid. The courses offered by UPRTOU are recognised by the joint committee of University Grants Commission (UGC)-All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and DEC. The degree provided on completion of the programme makes a candidate eligible for various private as well as government sector jobs. The industry-relevant curriculum followed at the university prepares them to take up a variety of job roles.

The MBA fee at UPRTOU is INR 18,000 per year  (including the examination fee for one year). The duration of the programme ranges from a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. Being an open university, the UPRTOU fees for various courses, including an MBA, are relatively affordable. Students are also eligible for variou scholarships offered by the UP government. UPRTOU grants MBA admission to applicants who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria. The eligibility requirement specified by the university is as follows:

• Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% for the General category candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates
  OR,
• Work experience of at least three years after graduation

UPRTOU MBA admission is entrance-based. The university conducts an entrance test to shortlist applicants for MBA admission. Aspirants can apply for the entrance exam on the university's official website. They must submit the application fee along with the prescribed entrance exam fee. The MBA entrance exam fee at UPRTOU is INR 800 for candidates belonging to all categories. It is payable through an e-challan in the name of 'Finance Officer, UPRTO, Prayagraj'.

Candidates need to complete graduation with at least the UPRTOU Allahabad MBA programme. Aspirants should have passed a minimum of three years of graduation degree. Candidates do not have to appear for entrance exam for MBA admission. The selection is merit-based.
