Review of Goa Institute of Management.
Placements: This is my 4th month in the college, and I heard that the batch 2017-2019 had 76 PPOs. The summer placements for the batch (2018-2020) are still going on with top recruiters like Reliance, Titan, ITC, Philips, JP Morgan, GEP, Accenture and many others visiting the campus.
Infrastructure: Our college provides infrastructure facilities like library, cafeteria, canteen, juice shop, swimming pool, lawn tennis court and a badminton court. The library is open 24*7. A multipurpose hall is available which can accommodate around 500 students. I heard that GIM is going to join Atal Innovation Centre in collaboration with the government of India.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are the best. Our department has Mr Arindam Das Gupta for economics, Ms Shikha Agrawal for statistics, and Mr Pravat Kumar for marketing. The teaching quality is one of the best you can find in South India with a proficient professor who has excelled in their field of expertise.

The college with good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The average package offered was around 10.5 LPA. The highest package offered was approximately 25 LPA. For the batch 2016-18, companies that have visited the college are Reliance, Nestle, Britannia, EY, Titan, Accenture, Capgemini, JP Morgan, HP, Piramal, and Johnson India. The placement rate for the batch 2016-2018 was 100%. There is a placement cell which is helping students for summers internships and final placement drives.
Infrastructure: Regarding infrastructure, our college is one of the best. The classrooms are well-equipped. The campus has a swimming pool, gymnasium, badminton courts, tennis court, football field, basketball court, and provision for other sports. There are a multi-purpose hall, amphitheatre, and hostels with modern amenities available on the campus.
Faculty: The course and faculty are average. Faculty members are not that good, but they are okay when compared with the colleges of the same standards. There are 60 students in a class, and the batch has a size of 240 students. Some teachers are from industry which helps the students. The course curriculum is as per AICTE and is up to the mark. Teaching quality varies from one to another.
Other: There are a lot of clubs in the college which organise events around the year.

GIM is the school that changes lives for good.
Placements: GIM has 100% placement records (excluding the people who opt out). The Summer internship scenario is not ideal in terms of stipend, but most of the students do manage to get an internship offer in fairly good brands. Companies that visited the campus for 2015-17 batch included Goldman Sachs, Hindustan Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Asian Paints, Britannia, Godrej & Boyce, Saint Gobain, Glenmark, GEP and many others. Our following batches have seen some other reputed brands added to our list of recruiters. These include brands like McKinsey Knowledge Center, SanDisk, Kraft Heinz, AbInBev etc. The numbers and names you see in the placement reports on the GIM website are all legitimate. GIM does not promote fake placement records like many other competing B-schools.
Infrastructure: GIM is a top-notch institute in terms of infrastructure. Hostels are available with both A/C and non-A/C rooms. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Air-conditioning facilities are also provided. Good lighting facilities are available in the library. A cafeteria is available and can accommodate over 200 students at once. Shops are available on campus to cater other essentials like personal care products, packaged food, beverages and eateries.
Faculty: The course curriculum is revised quite often to keep it industry relevant. The pedagogy matches the level of any IIM. I have had friends at IIM A, B, C, L, K and I and can confirm we match their level in terms of curriculum, study material and pedagogy. The teachers are the same as any other B-school. We encountered many visiting faculty members, in our tenure at GIM, that one can't possibly keep a count.
Other: GIM is a student-driven campus. With over 20 clubs and societies, our campus is active every day of a year. Some important events of GIM include GIM Wizbiz (a corporate quizzing competition), Samriddhi (the business symposium), Anveshan (the HR symposium) etc. The sports club called Prayas is very active. It will keep you engaged in some or the other outdoor or indoor sports throughout the year. The cultural club (Razzmatazz) will ensure that you never miss the festive feels at GIM, whether it is Diwali, Christmas, Eid or any other festival. They will make you live the saying, work-hard-party-harder. All clubs at GIM AIMAT are trying to make a difference in whatever way they can, and they make sure that they do their jobs. GIM does not pay for the rankings, so don't judge us with a rank 25/30 in different lists. We are better than many other colleges. Our performance in all corporate and B-School competitions is a testimony to the fact that ours is a better school than any other tier two B-School.

An all-rounder college in terms of placements, infrastructure and course curriculum
Placements: The placements have put Goa Institute of Management in one of the most sought after management colleges in the Tier-2 bracket. The college has been doing consistently well in terms of placements with companies spanning across IT consulting, BFSI, FMCG, and media and market research firms. The placements have been on a consistent rise with the average package close to Rs 9.5 lacs offered to the batch of 2014-16. The college boasts of 100% placements with around 40% batch getting offers of more than 10 lacs.
Infrastructure: Situated and founded in Goa since 1993, the college shifted to a state-of-the-art campus in 2010 at Sankhali (North Goa). It is a 60-acre campus covered totally by high-speed Wi-Fi, and the facilities here are high-tech classrooms, a library, a finance lab, an amphitheatre, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a football/cricket ground, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a cafeteria and hostels.
Faculty: The course curriculum is absolutely relevant and consistently updated/upgraded. The faculty team has a mix of academicians, scholars as well as visiting faculty members coming in ample numbers with a vast corporate experience. The teaching methods comprise of classroom teaching, case studies, workshops, discussions, projects and assignments, CSR, graded summer internship, etc.
Other: 1. Placement-wise, the college is more or less on par with all the specialisations. 2. A completely student-managed setup with around 20 clubs/committees/societies run by the students. 3. Dedicated industry-interaction specific and CSR specific committees among others.

Back to college time again.
Placements: The placements are good. Most of the students (approx. 90%) are placed before December (5th semester end). The major chunk is taken by IT services and consulting companies. Few other companies like in Retail, Banking, Automobile, Startups take people in single digit only. In my batch, the average package was around 8.5 LPA and it varied from 5 LPA to 12 LPA. The roles offered were equal to any tier-2 colleges like assistant manager, associate consultant, analysts, etc. The internship offered to the students was not a great success. Only 50% students were offered a good learning role in corporate world. The remaining students went onto the internship on their own by some references/contacts. The stipend ranged from 20k per month to 1 LPA in internship.
Infrastructure: It has a beautiful 50 acres campus with all the facilities. The campus covers an area of 50 acres. The classrooms and labs had top-notch facilities like automatic attendance detectors, projectors with shared drive access, charging points, mics, etc. Wi-Fi is there in the whole campus building and hostels. The labs and classrooms had good sitting and were sound-proof. The canteen food was getting better due to the canteen committee (students). Hostel rooms for the 1st year were shared while in the 2nd year, it is on individual basis. Sports was the area where one can keep yourself engaged in GIM. Prayas (sports club) had organised various sports activities and competitions every month almost. Library had good amount of books. Medical facilities were at par level. The doctor comes for only 2-3 hours in the evening otherwise the first-aid kit was available.
Faculty: Faculty members of GIM were very experienced. There were various top-class visiting faculty members who teaches in 2nd year mostly according the elective. Students can also get in touch with the management and discuss the feedback of the faculty members and get more visiting faculty members if required. Most of the faculty members have done Ph.D and have written many National papers too. There were almost 50 faculty members for the batch of 250, so the ratio comes to (500/50) =10:1 including both batches. There were various practical approaches taken by them to teach a complex topic. There was a compulsory 1 industrial visit according to the subject every year. The course curriculum was not according to the industry standards.
Other: The college has facilities like gym, football, tennis, swimming pool and a multi-purpose hall to keep the students active and fresh after a hectic day. Also, there are various clubs/committees to keep students engaged over the 2 years. This not only helps students in staying motivated but also in seeing and experiencing new things. The placements were decent enough. Mostly, IT companies have come to the campus as most of the students have a technical (B.Tech/B.E) background. The ROI was not that great as the fees has increased in the recent years. The batch strength is a major advantage in comparison to other Tier-2 B-schools. The bad/good thing for some is attendance being 100% mandatory and students lose their grades if they miss or bunk lectures. Although genuine reasons are considered, it is problematic as it is a fast moving curriculum with 2 years divided into 6 semesters. The CSR Initiative is a really great step towards the society and a break from the regular classroom study refreshes the students. Giving back to the society should be an integral part of us and GIM pushes us towards it. In the end, if you choose GIM, then I think you will never regret the awesome life.

Since you have not updated your data, the college won't be able to know your CMAT scores. However, you can call the admissions department and ask them if there is any substitute.
