Joining NIFT Kolkata without entrance exam doesn't seem like a possibility. As per the Institution's admission guidelines, candidates must appear for the  The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) exam.  The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:

• Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only BDes and MDes candidates need to take the CAT. 
• Situation Test/ Personal Interview - BDes candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is BFTech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.  

NIFT Kolkata offers both UG and PG programmes in Fashion Designing, Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Leather Design, Textile Design, Fashion Communication, etc. NIFT admission based on the NIFT entrance exam. At the end of the admission procedure, candidates are required to pay the tuition for final seat allotment. Find below course wise fees: 

NIFT Kolkata offers admission to UG and PG courses through the NIFT Exam. To get admission in NIFT Kolkata, students must clear the admission criteria of the desired programme as precribed by the institute. The institute accepts students based on a valid score in the NIFT Entrance Exam, which includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Students who clear both tests are required to appear for the situation test for the final selection. The institute scrutinises the performance of candidates in the selection rounds to shortlist students. Selected students must pay the admission fees for seat confirmation.

The college has not released the salary package for the year 2022.  According to Shiksha review, the highest package offered for BDes Fashion Design was INR 6 LPA during the recent placement drive. NIFT Chennai students were offered various roles such as Associate Designer, Assistant Designer, Fashion Stylist and many more. This is to note that, the highest package and roles offered are gathered from Shiksha review page.
