Faculty members are average.
Placements: Around 20%-30% got placed every year though not good numbers. The salary package offered is around 7 LPA-15 LPA. Around 20% of students get internships only 4-5 companies visit for an internship. Companies like Capgemini, Deloitte, Colgate, Visa, TCS, and many more recruit from our college. Process is good and because of girls' college, all female students get placed.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn’t have Wi-Fi facility, except in labs. Classrooms are not well-maintained, but renovation is going on. Washrooms are too good. I am not a hostellers, so I don’t know about hostel. Food quality is so poor, as every college has this condition. So, UMIT is one of them, we can take admission here.
Faculty: Faculty members are not that good, they lack in knowledge and do not give internal marks. Curriculum is not so good. Exams are very easy with only two unit tests. I don’t know about all the faculty members but I noticed that they are not so good. Faculty members can change anytime but do not go only with my review.
Other: This college is average if one has average marks go with this college.

Good college with good facilites.
Placements: Around 90 percent of students were placed in this course, with the highest package being 32 lakhs and the lowest about 3 lakhs. The average package is about 8 lakhs. The top recruiting company is Visa, from the CST course. Around 30 percent of students got internships in companies like Cigniti, Deloitte, KPMG, Visa, Infogain, and others. Roles offered for our branches are software developer, software engineer, developer, software tester, analyst, and much more.
Infrastructure: As it is a women's college, it has a good, well-designed infrastructure, and currently, renovation is going on. There is 24/7 availability of network connection. As of my knowledge, one of our faculty said that from 2026 onwards, they will be providing 15 GB of data space to each student for their college work. UMIT has 2 labs, which are further divided into 4 sections, then adding up to 8 labs with a full complement of desktops. Also, there are 4 more labs with well-working PCs, and one library with a seating area.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and everyone has a friendly nature, with good knowledge and good qualification status. The course made us industry-relevant, as there will be a total of 3 proper coding language subjects in the four-year journey, along with all other computer science core subjects. About semester college exams, those are pretty good and tough, as they are particularly set by college faculty only. If a student has regular attendance, they can easily pass the exam. The pass percentage is around 95%.
Other: I have chosen this course because this is the core branch in our college, and I am currently in the placement drive. So far, all companies which have come in for placements have asked for students from this course. This course has the highest preference in the college premises as well as outside of the college. Talking about events and fests, there is an annual event of the college which is held in March in the even semester and one technical fest which is mainly arranged by all the technical councils.

Good for placements and, as a girl, if you want to take admission in a girls' college.
Placements: I am from the Computer Engineering department. 90 percent of students get placed in my course. The highest package offered till now is 31 Lacs by Visa, the average package is 7 Lacs, and the lowest is 3.25 Lacs. Companies like Visa, Oracle, Deutsche, and Colgate visit our campus. Roles offered by the companies are different according to their requirements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that fascinating and cool. It is average-looking. The library is good, Wi-Fi is provided in the labs only, and AC is provided in the labs only. The hostel is also average, not that cool, but you can stay. The hostel meal is good at the start, but it is not good for health. Sports opportunities are there in the college.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful towards students, but some of the teachers lacked qualified teaching. You have to complete the syllabus on your own through self-studying. The course of computer engineering makes students ready for industry work, but you have to put extra effort on your own. The level of exams is average; you can pass easily if you know the basics of the subjects.
Other: I wanted to go for engineering, that's the reason I chose this course. There are many fests and events that happen in the college, which help you increase college connectivity and confidence. The college provides scholarships for backward class students.

Decent Infrastructure, Average Academics: A Mixed Bag at UMIT.
Placements: UMIT typically has a good placement record, with around 70-80% of students getting placed each year. Top Recruiters: Companies like Visa, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Colgate, and Bank of America are among the top recruiters at UMIT. For the 2023-24 academic year, UMIT placed 32 students with an average package of 32.76 LPA and the highest package of 203 LPA.
Infrastructure: UMIT is a decent engineering college in Mumbai, offering a good academic environment and decent infrastructure. However, the quality of facilities, especially the hostel and mess, can be inconsistent. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is generally decent, with a variety of options available.
Faculty: The difficulty of semester exams at Usha Mittal Institute of Technology (UMIT) can vary depending on the specific course and professor. However, generally, the exams are considered to be of moderate difficulty. To succeed in these exams, consistent effort, regular attendance, and active participation in classes are crucial. It's also important to stay updated with the syllabus and complete assignments on time.
Other: It provides a higher number of placements for computer engineering, keeping that in mind, taking admission for this course in this college is very beneficial for career experience.

My holistic experience in UMIT.
Placements: The placements are the best thing about our college since that's what it focuses on the most. All the teachers help the students to be fit for the placements, so they support both academics and extracurriculars. The placements have gone as high as 42 LPA and as low as 3 LPA, with an average somewhere around 7-8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very hard to get, but it's amazing. The hostel mess is so good that even us PGs often order our food from there. The infrastructure is okay, but the natural elements are much more prominent on our campus since it's a university; it’s very big and not just one building. The location is also very prime.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful, but as usual, some are lenient while others are very strict. They support students and understand their problems if they are facing issues. They also help when we're dealing with serious academic or attendance challenges, so overall, I like the faculty.
Other: The college is great; I chose it for the placements. The crowd is good too, but a girls' college will always be a girls' college. The students are not very active in participating in events, but there are always some events taking place from time to time.

Dissatisfied with the environment given at the college from a student's perspective.
Placements: Software developer, Data analytics, and also offering some non-technical roles like management and finance. Companies also come in for immediate recruitment. Companies like Colgate, Visa, DB, Barclays, and Bank of America are a few big companies that come for placements on the campus.
Infrastructure: The whole college and hostel building are currently undergoing renovation, which it absolutely needed. There is no Wi-Fi service on the college campus, and it's down most of the time. The same applies to the hostel. The network is pretty bad too. The computer labs are mostly non-functional.
Faculty: The college doesn't really make you job-ready, but you get a good amount of opportunities to go outside the academic curriculum to work on your coding skills. But it's not really backed up by the college, so you have to manage both of them and may even face biases.
Other: The fest is pretty fun, small scale, but still quite fun. The campus is huge as it is inside the SNDT Women's University. Public transport is easily available, 15 minutes walking from the Santacruz station. You do get a lot of exposure.
