JEE Main Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency has closed the JEE Main Registration 2026 for session 1 exam. NTA JEE Mains 2026 Registration date was October 31 to November 27, 2025. NTA will now start the JEE Main form correction 2026 facility on December 1, 2025. Candidates who wish to make any changes in their application form can access JEE Main correction window 2026 from December 1 to 2 to make the required changes. JEE Main 2026 Application Form link was available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026. Candidates can apply for JEE Main 2026 only in online mode. Candidates interested in applying for the exam must ensure their Aadhaar have correct details as the candidate's basic information, like name, gender, date of birth, and photo, will be verified from the Aadhaar database.
NTA introduced a few changes in the application process this year. Candidates had to upload his/her live photograph at the time of filling of the application form using webcam of laptop/computer besides uploading his/her Scanned Images of Photograph. Also, change in dimensions of documents to upload were made. As per new dimesions, signature file should be between 10 kb to 100 kb. Scanned copy of class 10 marks-sheet should be between 50 kb to 300 kb and scanned copy of identity proof (for those candidates who will verify their identities through methods other than Aadhaar or DigiLocker) should be in between 10 kb to 200 kb. Scanned copy of Disability/UDID certificate should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb.

Candidates who wish to appear in the exam must register for the JEE Main 2026 and submit the application form within the last date. JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions in January and April. NTA has also confirmed the JEE Main 2026 exam schedule for both sessions. JEE Main 2026 exam date session 1 is January 21 to 30 while the second session exam will be held from April 2 to 9.

Documents Required for JEE Mains 2026 Registration
- Class 10 certificate
- Scanned image of passport-size colour photo and signature as per recommended size and format
- Category certificates (for OBC-NCL & EWS category candidates)
- Credit/Debit Card or Internet banking details for payment of JEE Mains form fees

Note: PwD/PwBD and SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates must check that their certificates are valid and have the correct information. PwD/PwBD candidates have to upload their certiificates while filling the application form. SC/ST/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates have to provide details of certificate issuing person and date in the application form.
JEE Main 2026 Application Fee Details
JEE Main 2026 application fee will be notified soon. The fee was raised for all categories and for both Indian and Outside India candidates in 2025. It must be noted that for candidates opting for a single paper and candidates opting for multiple papers, the application fee is different.

How to Fill JEE Mains Application Form 2026?
The process to fill JEE Main 2026 application form involves the following stages:
- Visit the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.ac.in
- Click on "JEE Mains 2026 Registration Session 1" link
- Check all instructions and procedd to fill the required details. Create a password of your choice to register for the exam. After registration, candidates will receive details of JEE Main Registration number and password in their mobile number and emails ID.
- After completing registration, candidates will move on to filling the application form. At this stage, they need to provide details of education, paper choice, exam city choice, preferred language of paper, and live photo capture.
- Upload scanned documents
- Pay the JEE Mains exam fee
- Take a printout of the acknowledgment page and keep it safe.

Registration
It is the first step in apply for JEE Mains exam. In this step, candidates have to visit the JEE Main official website for registration. Candidates have to provide details of name, gender, mobile phone number, email ID, address for communication, parents details, category etc. After filling all the information, candidates have to click on the submit button. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins.

- The registration form will open. Candidates to fill in all the required details
No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.
NTA released JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Application form on October 31. JEE Mains 2026 registration last date session 1 was November 27, 2025. The link to apply for session 1 was available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Filling JEE Mains 2026 Application Form
After registration, candidates have to complete the JEE Main 2026 application form. Aspirants need to fill academic and paper (for which appearing) details in the JEE Main application form 2026 at this step. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.

Uploading Scanned Images
At this step, aspirants are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specifications prescribed (as mentioned in the table below)
Before filling JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates should have a scanned image of his/her recent photograph and signature. These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of the application form. Here are some important details that candidates should remember before uploading the scanned photograph and signature.
- The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but in clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph printed on it.
- The photograph should not have the candidate wearing a cap or sunglasses. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
- Candidates with an unclear photograph will be rejected.
- Candidates are advised to reserve 6-8 identical photographs for all future purposes including the seat allocation and admission process.

Pay JEE Main 2026 Application Fees
The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI. JEE Main application form will be considered submitted once the fees is paid.
Print the confirmation page
The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after the successful payment of JEE Main 2026 application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over. This is how the JEE Main application form 2026 exam confirmation page will look like:
Candidates who have made any spelling mistakes or entered wrong details in the application form can change it during application form correction window. The facility to edit form will be available once the registration process concludes. There's no charges to make correction in JEE Main application form.
JEE Mains correction window 2026 for session 1 is now open till December 2. The facility to make corrections is available online on the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. During the correction window, candidates are allowed to change/modify details filled in their application form. Candidates must note that not all fields in the application form will be open for correction. Only certain information like category, address of correspodance/permanent address, exam city preference, paper choice, signature etc. can be modified. Candidates might also be required to pay additional fees for making corrections in certain fields.
JEE Main Registration 2026 session 1 is over. Session 2 registration will start in the last week of January 2026.
Candidates whose application form is submitted will be issued JEE Main admit card 2026 to appear in the exam. Without the JEE admit card, candidates will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
JEE Main 2026 Application Form Correction
The NTA will open the facility of JEE Main form correction 2026 from December 1, 2025. Candidates must note that only a few fields in the filled application forms can be edited during the correction window. It is thus advised to be careful while filling the application form and do not make any mistakes while filling details. The last date of JEE Main Correction Window 2026 is December 2, 2025.
