Architecture Online Courses & Certifications
Architecture can be defined as the art and science of designing and creating buildings and structures. It involves planning, designing and constructing spaces in such a way that they reflect functional, social and aesthetic considerations. Coordination of material, technology, light and shadow as well as project planning, cost estimating and construction administration is very important.
The job of an architect is to plan, design and review the formation of structures by creative organization of components with regard to mass, space, volume, texture, form, etc. Other pragmatic elements like that of construction limitations, use of technology, economic factors, functionality and practicality of the project are also considered along with an artistic approach.

Important Job Skills for Architects
Below are the skills required in an ideal entry profile for the Architecture career -
Advanced Math – Since calculations, predictions, measurements, scale conversions, and analysis are an indispensable part of architecture, you would need to have a solid background in mathematics, geometry and physics.
Designing – Aesthetics and architecture go hand in hand, hence you must have a strong knowledge of modern, traditional, eclectic, and contemporary design, drawing, design concepts as well as conceptualization. You must have a strong command over drawing techniques to represent things more realistically.
Creativity - This professional field deals with transforming empty spaces into functional, safe and visually attractive structures. A flair for creativity is a must to create new, renew, design, and modernize infrastructures.
Computer Literacy - the architectural market is now mostly digitized and knowledge of simulations and artistic renderings is necessary. You should have a working knowledge of various architectural drafting software like Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Model Making, etc.
Knowledge of Building Laws and Codes - it is an architect's job to design projects in accordance with law. Every project needs to comply with building codes, and other laws and regulations such Setbacks, Height Restrictions, Zoning Codes, Fire Safety, Building Codes, and other zoning laws.
Interest in Structures and Buildings - Logically, to enjoy the architecture career and feel motivated to give your best, it is important that you are passionate about or have a sound knowledge of buildings, infrastructures and urban developments.
Social Responsibility - As an architect, you will have to assure that your projects do not put the environment at risk or affect nearby communities, while complying with safety laws.
