B.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering - Batch of 2028

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
A good course in a great university.
Placements: 95% of students are placed from B.Tech Instrumentation. Top recruiting companies are Reliance, Tata Power, Nokia, L&T, Teachnook. About 90% got internships in Reliance and Teachnook. The average package is around 6 LPA, and the highest is 25 LPA. Top roles are Instrumentation Engineer and Control System Engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has Wi-Fi and 10 labs for research facilities, 7 classrooms, and a library which is very good. The hostel is better and has better infrastructure. It has a canteen, a playground, and a table tennis ground. On campus, there are also vending machines.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and helpful. They are, of course, qualified since they teach at a reputed college. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage is 95%, and semester exams are a little difficult. Exams are easy if you study properly. The teachers are the best at CUSAT.
Other: My brother got placed from this course, so I decided to take this course.

M.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2022

There is a good environment for studying in our college .
Placements: Many of our students work in big science centers, research centers, etc. in different places. Their maximum salary is 12 Lacs and their minimum salary is 6 Lacs. Various radio energy departments and recharge labs are functioning. 20 percent of students are working as professors in various university colleges. They also progress as a metriologist, laser engineer, research scientist, and laptop technician.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped library and a large area for quiet study. The college has hostel facilities, and the food here is very hygienic. The classrooms of the college are very modern and clean. The college has auditorium rooms where various programs are held. The college has fields and rooms for indoor and outdoor sports.
Faculty: College teachers are very good and also very skilled and experienced. They always maintain a friendly relationship with the students, but not in the exam hall. Here, project and field work is done on every subject. Here the examination medium is yearly medium, and the pass rate is more than 93%.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026
Offered by College of Engineering Vadakara

Nice college with pleasant vibe.
Placements: Poor placement with below-average LPA. Many students get placed, but the annual income is very poor. Mainly, the majority of the students get placements in many companies, but the majority LPA is less than 8lcs. However, some students get good packages with higher LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is very poor, but the ambiance and vibe with friends give so many memories. The faculty in charge of the hostel is also very nice and friendly, but the main problem is the mess food; it is very poor. The curries are like flowing water, but the atmosphere is very nice.
Faculty: Teachers are very nice; the majority of them are youngsters with a friendly vibe. The college atmosphere is very cool and chill, but the exams are very tough. If you have a chance to get admission in another university, then go and take admission in that university; don't get trapped in KTU.

Affordable College with good placement, friendly people yet not good for people from outside kerala.
Placements: Placements are not particularly good overall, but it all depends on how you perform in the interview and examinations. You are eligible for the placement from the sixth semester onward. Companies visited recently include IBM, TCS, Cognizant, Reliance, L&T, EY, SOTI, and Visteon. Most of the offers were about 5-6 Lacs per year. The largest annual compensation is up to 15 Lacs, the lowest is 4 Lacs, and the average is up to 6 Lacs. The percentage of placed pupils range from 60 to 80%. .
Infrastructure: College labs are very good, Classes are small divided in A and B batch with total of 116 something students combined. You're strictly having 75% attendance overall in semester. Teacher do understand Hindi also, some don't, same goes for keralite students here, You'll easily make friends here, but you have to manage and struggle to match a vibe. There are lot of strikes dues to political parties here and student parties. From First year itself you won't get hostel so, you have to take PG or flat or Private hostel. The hostels infrastructure is decent, but the food is terrible. Our hostel is very good, Onam and other ocassions like Diwali is also celebrated here. First, apply for a hostel. According to the guidelines, you will only be able to get hostels in your second semester onwards based on the distance of your hometown. Wi-Fi is terrible in terms of speed, Water purifiers and coolers are there. No sports ground in hostel but outside nearby. No market or canteen nearby except for the mess.
Faculty: In my department of Computer Science, if you study you will pass or else gone. The pros also support extracurricular, achievements, and other activities. The entire faculty here is very qualified, yet some of the lecturers have a monotonous method of teaching, while some are really good at what they teach. Semester exams are held every 4 months because our batch was behind schedule, due to strikes, and other factors. The document level is not particularly difficult.
Other: I've always been interested in Computer Science, there are lot of hackathons, events, etc. Are conducted. The campus is large but not developed. There's amenity centre -with facilities like good internet speed for open student clubs Access, student shop for records and uniform, Gym, recreational room. CITTIC for startup incubation, etc. There is University library and college library to explore books and study. The campus life is quite interesting because there are no extracurricular clubs other than a few sports. There are various large festivals that take place every year. The libraries here are extremely well-maintained. There is a wide variety of books. There is also an annual sporting event. There are some teams completing national and internationally that you follow and join. E. g. Team Horizons and Yeti racing, SAE CUSAT, etc.

Average placements, supporting faculty members, average infrastructure.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed. Top recruiting companies for our courses are IBM, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cisco, and Reliance. The highest package is 20 Lacs, the lowest package is 3 Lacs, and the average package is 5 Lacs. The top role offered in our course is SDE.
Infrastructure: The labs and library are well-furnished. There is a very good environment for studies in the library. The hostel is well-furnished, but the food is very bad. Also, the behavior of the warden is very bad. There are not too many facilities for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are very well-qualified, but not that supportive. The course is not that relevant, and it is somehow relevant to being industry-ready. The semester exams are not that difficult, and the passing percentage is around 50%.
Other: I have a bit of interest in Electronics, that's why I chose this course. There should be more industry-based subjects in the courses. We frequently have a lot of events like Hackathons, Music nights, etc.

College of Engineering Vadakara.
Placements: 30 percent of students have been placed in high-level companies, especially TVS, TCS, and electronics-related companies. The lowest package was 15000 per month, and the highest package was 25000 per month. The roles offered to them are electronics and communication related, robotics, IoT, and sales, etc.
Infrastructure: Free unlimited Wi-Fi campus, good lab facilities, and good lab assistance. Every time we can use the lab, digital classroom with fully functioning light and fan, big library with lots of books, hostel facilities are provided by the college, and the food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and we can ask anything to them. They are too friendly to us. Teachers are well-qualified professionals with outstanding knowledge. The course curriculum is well-relevant and easily understandable to all. It makes students industry-ready but needs to improve. Semesters are not difficult. If we study hard, we can get it. The pass percentage is 40 with an internal of 35.
Other: I like to study about electronics; that's why I chose the course. It teaches us good knowledge about technology. Practical needs to be improved more than theory. Events are there, campus crowd is there, good connectivity, good surrounding of the campus. Scholarships are provided, and extracurricular activities are there.
