Admission to all the courses provided by Hans Raj College is entrance-based. While this Delhi University-affiliated college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BA (Hons), BSc (Hons) and BCom, admission to all the postgraduate courses will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2025. The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2024 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU.

The mode of Hansraj College admission are online and offline. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. Students willing to appear for admission to various courses will be required to pass the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). CUET stands for Central University Entrance Test. It is an all-India level entrance examination that is conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses offered in all of the participating institutions.

DU releases the merit lists for candidates who qualify for the cutoff. Hansraj College cut off 2023, the Round 1 closing score for the top courses including Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) is 99, the range for BA (Hons) is 80-99, for BSc (Hons) the range is 96-99 or the General category students belonging to All India Quota. Candidates aspiring for Hansraj College admission 2024 to UG courses, must have a valid score in CUET UG.
