Skills you will learn
Who should do this course?
  • Undergraduate and graduate students studying electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related fields
  • Professionals from disciplines such as computer science, telecommunications, or information technology who want to deepen their understanding of digital hardware
What are the course deliverables?
  • Gain a solid understanding of fundamental digital concepts like Boolean algebra, logic gates, combinational circuits, and sequential circuits
  • Develop the ability to analyze digital circuits using various techniques, including truth tables, Karnaugh maps, and state diagrams
  • Learn how to design and implement combinational circuits (circuits without memory) to perform specific logic functions
  • Gain knowledge about sequential circuits (circuits with memory) such as flip-flops, counters, and registers, and how they are used in digital systems
  • Develop the ability to design FSMs, a model for representing the behavior of sequential circuits, to control the operation of digital systems
More about this course
  • The objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of digital systems and their design process
  • Throughout the course, students will learn the fundamental concepts of number systems and how they are utilized to represent data
  • They will explore digital gates and their functionality in performing operations on binary numbers
  • The curriculum also encompasses combinational and sequential designs, including key digital circuits such as adders, subtractors, multiplexers, flip-flops, Counter and Shift registers
  • Additionally, students will gain knowledge about analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, and logic families
