Q:   Is MCA at IGNOU a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: MCA students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the feedback from students and alumni:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty members who are knowledgeable and supportive
    * Relevant course curriculum that prepares students for the industry
    * Availability of computer labs and libraries
    * Opportunities for self-study and practice
    * Access to Wi-Fi and other amenities on campus

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities, especially for MCA students
    * No regular classes or frequent interaction with faculty members
    * Self-paced learning requires additional effort and motivation
    * Some faculty members may prioritize research over teaching
    * Limited availability of hostels and poor living conditions

    Placement scenario:

    * Campus placements are scarce, and few companies visit for recruitment
    * Salary packages are relatively low, ranging from 1-3 LPA
    * Students often rely on external coaching or self-learning to supplement their education
    * Few students manage to secure internships or jobs despite completing their degree

Based on these points, while IGNOU offers a decent educational experience, the MCA programme faces limitations in terms of placement opportunities and employment prospects. Students pursuing this course should be prepared to invest extra time and effort in seeking alternative learning resources, networking, and building their professional portfolio to enhance their employability. Ultimately, whether MCA at IGNOU is a "good" choice depends on individual goals, preferences, and circumstances.
