Q:   Do classes take place in IGNOU?

A:
Yes, Indira Gandhi National Open University conducts its classes in its study centres, under the guidance of regional centres. However, IGNOU doesn't run any classes in the main campus. When a student registers for a course in IGNOU the student picks a Study Centre and a Regional Centre according to their choice. The books are obtained from the selected study centre. Also, IGNOU offers a facility called IGNOU Online' which gives its students an opportunity to study online for programmes and courses which are not available in the area where they live in.

Q:   How will the lab classes be conducted for MSc Physics at IGNOU?

A:

IGNOU offers MSc Physics in the distance learning mode, which means that students can complete the theoretical coursework online or through self-study, but they may face challenges in accessing laboratory facilities. IGNOU conducts laboratory sessions in collaboration with partner institutions that offer laboratory facilities. During the MSc Physics programme, students are required to attend practical laboratory sessions that are held at selected regional centres of IGNOU and other partner institutions.

The practical sessions are conducted for a limited number of days and hours, usually on weekends or holidays. To attend laboratory sessions, students need to enrol themselves for the lab sessions by paying a separate fee for each lab course and selecting their preferred study centre. The study centres are selected based on their proximity to the student's location.

During the laboratory sessions, students will be provided with access to various lab equipment and tools required for conducting the experiments. Experienced lab instructors will guide the students through the experiments and assist when required. It is important to note that laboratory sessions are a crucial component of MSc Physics and students need to complete the lab sessions to fulfill the programme requirements. Therefore, it is recommended that students plan and schedule their laboratory sessions in advance to ensure they can attend them and complete the programme successfully.

Genius review of my college .

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and the facilities available for my course and department, like labs, classrooms, and the library, are all perfect. The college provides proper library facilities for students who want to study. Clean and pure drinking water is available for everyone, not just for teachers.

Satisfied with the fees I paid and the time I invested.

Infrastructure: The facilities, like the library, department offices & Wi-Fi, were available & all were well maintained. But the food quality of the mess & rooms of the hostel were not so good, but they were still good enough to live in the college days. But the management support was not so quick in responding to queries.

The college is good if your purpose is to join distance education.

Infrastructure: I can't say much about the infrastructure because it's a distance learning thing and we need not visit the campus for anything. But I have visited the campus and they have lab, library and full Wi-Fi enabled campus. The campus also has a recreational area and a very good canteen.

It's good if you want to prepare something or you want to do your job or anything.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure not good they don't care about it but the view is just amazing. Facilities were provided but not much as expected. The facilities here are outstanding, featuring modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, spacious study areas, and well-resource libraries. Recreational amenities, including sports fields and fitness centers, promote a balanced lifestyle. Additional access to computer labs and dedicated space for group work enhances the overall learning experience for stu...

Yup! Best college in the whole of India

Infrastructure: The big trouble is after registration, admission confirmation date is too long, like 2 months , or everything is okay . All courses are available, and I am not going to college, so I didn't think about Wi-Fi availability . I am not because this college actually fires only distance.

Exploring the dynamic learning landscaped.

Infrastructure: IGNOU's infrastructure includes a vast network of regional centers and study centers across India, facilitating distance education. While lacking a centralized physical campus, IGNOU employs a robust online platform, well-equipped study centers, and a library.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, maintenance, really good infrastructure, and facilities.

Infrastructure: In my center, wifi computers and laptops are well maintained and the classroom and library are clean. Teachers are good with good knowledge about topics; my experience was actually good on my campus. You should take good care when doing admission but every center is well maintained

Infrastructure: The library has wifi, and labs are available. The college canteen provides good food. However, the sports and games facilities are poor, and there is no medical facility on campus.

Pros and Cons of a College

Infrastructure: The college provides the worst infrastructure. It has unhygienic classrooms, broken benches, bad words written on the boards, and the poor condition of washrooms. Teachers are very inconsistent in their teaching; some days they come, and other days they take leave.

The college is good if your purpose is to join distance education

Infrastructure: Our college is well-known in India. The highest package for non-technical departments is 5 Lacs per annum, while the lowest is 2 Lacs per annum. Approximately 50% of the students are placed through campus recruitment. Students are also encouraged to seek internships. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Flipkart, and Acon. The infrastructure is impressive and creates a positive impression. The quality of food is good, with lunch available in the cafeteria. Outdoor hostels are available for s...

If you are planning to give your time to something else along with your graduation

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good with a large campus, along with a canteen and parks to hang out with your friends. I was in Deshbandhu College, and it was very big and beautiful. Overall, my experience was really good. It's on you now how much you can get from the resources you will have.

DPG is one of the study centres of IGNOU having supportive teachers and average facilities.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great as they have proper AC classes, labs, library, playground, smart boards, Wi-Fi, etc. They also provide good mess food in the campus. The food is delicious and you can also order what you want to eat on special requests. They are very supportive.

Good for working students, bad for placement seekers. Plus it is quite cheap.

Infrastructure: The laboratories are of average quality, and students must go to assigned colleges or write an NOC to attend practicals at other colleges. The food quality at my center was not great overall, but the samosas were awesome. There are medical rooms with first aid and a nurse.

All about IGNOU PROS & CONS.

Infrastructure: The main building of the IGNOU is very good and very well maintained. It includes free Wi-Fi for the students and there is a library on one floor. The library is too big one can easily find any book they want. IGNOU does not provide any hostel for the students as it is open learning. The faculty is very good.
