B.Tech. in Computer Science and Social Science - Batch of 2027

Overall good for study, but if you're interested in sports, you may be disappointed by facilities.
Placements: My batch is 2023, and in my batch, the placement rate last year was approximately 92%. It is very good among all colleges, but there are heavy workloads in IT. The lowest package from TCS was 3.6 LPA, and the highest this year, so far, is 51 LPA, by Microsoft to 13 students, all of whom received PPOs.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are highly qualified and more innovative toward research, with a helpful nature towards students. However, some professors make courses too hard just by making grading difficult. This creates mental pressure on students, and because of this, many students leave the course at the beginning.
Faculty: According to me, the course is not absolutely job-ready, but it provides a base for it. The semester exams are harder due to the grading system. The exams are normally hard compared to other universities, but they make you more hardworking. It is also hard to maintain a CGPA, so if you are coming, be prepared to work hard.
Other: I just want to go towards social science courses. They can improve by making them more grounded.

IIIT Delhi: Honest Review.
Placements: Due to strict eligibility criteria, many students don’t get placed and are often not allowed to sit for placements. These students are not included in the placement statistics, which leads the college to report a placement rate of 98.81%. For example, TCS recently visited the campus and set a minimum eligibility criterion of 8.5 CGPA, offering a package of 4.5 LPA. The highest packages go up to crores, but these are typically for overseas placements. Most domestic placements offer an in-hand salary of approximately 1 lakh per month. Due to a current low demand for engineers, placements have reached an all-time low. Nevertheless, maintaining a CGPA of 7+ can still help secure a placement, while a 7.5/8+ CGPA is recommended for internships.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are excellent, offering well-equipped rooms with a bed (no mattress), a table with drawers, overhead storage, a wooden slab, and an almirah. Common amenities include a fridge and microwave on the ground floor of each hostel, along with a common room furnished with a foosball table, sofas, tables, chairs, and a large TV for watching movies and shows. There are no curfew timings. Each floor has two washrooms on either side, with 4 toilets, 5 showers, and 3 washbasins. Washrooms are cleaned daily in the early morning, and additional cleaning can be requested at any time by contacting FMS. Although the mess food and canteen offerings are below average and barely edible, the campus infrastructure is impressive, with strong Wi-Fi connectivity available throughout, including in hostels. Classrooms, labs, and libraries are well-maintained, and the R&D block is beautiful and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities you would need during your four years here.
Faculty: The courses are quite challenging, and passing is not easy. For example, the passing cutoff for the Probability and Statistics course in the second semester is set at 13%, yet many students still fail. Around 30-40% of students fail each course, and professors rarely lower the passing marks. You really need to study hard once you join this college, especially for end-semester exams, where the class average often falls between 10-15%. Scoring 40-50% is considered exceptionally high in these exams. Although the faculty members are experts in their respective fields, having obtained their PhDs from esteemed universities, many students still turn to online resources like YouTube to understand the course material, as the professors often struggle to explain concepts effectively.

Very hard to sustain because of many deadlines, but really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college is best for placement if you're capable of studying. Placement percentage is around 65% this year, which is good as this year was very different. My branch has the highest placement percentage, which is around 80%. Many companies are there, such as Goldman Sachs, Winzo, etc. Software engineer and many high-level roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is very good; it is not vast as it is only 35 acres, but the buildings and everything are very good. Hostels are very good compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi in the college campus is very good and never disappoints. Labs are very well maintained, and the PCs are good there. Classrooms are vast, and the lecture halls are spacious. The library has three floors; it is very good, and each section is divided for studies and discussion. The hostel mess is very good as there are 2 messes. It has good sports equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, but some teachers were not that good, to be honest. The course curriculum is very good, as it does not teach Physics and Chemistry in the 1st semester and focuses on skills, coding, and Maths. Exams are not that difficult, and grading is relatively easy in almost all subjects.
Other: I like Maths and engineering. I would like it to focus more on coding, as it is a Maths course. Events are not that good, but the Odyssey fest is very good.

IIITD College walkthrough.
Placements: Great placement stats, almost 100 percent students with an average package of 18 LPA. All companies are either A or A+ tier. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, and BNY. Top roles offered are SWE, SDE, and analyst. Around 70 percent of the batch got internships within 1 semester.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is fast, big hostel rooms with centralised AC, mess food is good, better than other colleges for sure, the library is big, many books are available, great study rooms, hostel fees could be lesser, and the cleaning staff though takes a lot of time to arrive but does their work with passion.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent. All are Ph.D.s from foreign universities and hard-working professors. The curriculum is updated. Exams are on the harder side but test both for knowledge and skills. However, overall difficulty depends solely on the professors, and the courses could be harder based on the level of the course, e.g.,. 2x, 3x, and so on.
Other: The campus life is kind of dead. Fests are great, however, clubs are dead.

Good infrastructure and a hard curriculum at IIITD.
Placements: Around 90% of students were placed from IIITD this year. The highest package was around 50 LPA, and the average package for all branches was 18 LPA, while for CSE it was 22 LPA. The internship season is a bit off for this semester compared to previous year data due to the ongoing recession. Top roles offered are in tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Jio, etc., primarily as software engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIITD is quite good. It has Wi-Fi for all students with good speed. The CSE and ECE labs are well furnished, the equipment is functional, and the labs are air-conditioned. Classrooms have a capacity ranging from 20 to 300, depending on class sizes. The library is open for studying 24/7. Hostel rooms are also well furnished and air-conditioned, and the food provided in the mess is acceptable. There's an infirmary for medical assistance and a sports block that includes games like TT, squash, badminton, an indoor swimming pool, air hockey, pool, and foosball.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, with every professor holding a Ph.D. Some professors are particularly helpful. Besides professors, each course has teaching fellows (TF) and teaching assistants (TAs) who assist in running the course. The curriculum is very relevant, focusing mainly on CSE and ECE subjects. The exams and grading system are strict at IIITD compared to DTU or NSUT.
