On JEE Main Cutoffs
Q:   I have 23027 rank in JEE Mains along with 3253 EWS rank. Can I get admission for CSE with bioscience in IIIT Delhi?
A:
As seen last year, IIIT Delhi implemented a bonus system where a certain number of bonus points will be added as per specific achievements to your percentile score of JEE Mains. For getting CSE, bonus points are required as a person with 6000 AIR, and 2 Bonus points got CSE in IIITD while a person with 600 AIR who was getting CSE in IIIT Hyderabad did not get CSE in IIIT Delhi because of no bonus points. (For, e. g. if you get even 99.95 %ile in JEE Mains, a person with 98percentile but with two bonus points will be evaluated at a score of 100 (98 + 2) and will be placed above the 99.95%iler in the merit list).

Excellent faculty, good infrastructure and facilities, placement is also good, and the campus.
Placements: Placement is good. B.Tech Eve, being a new course, no batch has passed yet, so placement hasn't taken place for this course. Qualcomm, Western Digital, Nvidia, and Texas Instruments are some of the companies that come for placement for the ECE branch. It is also very easy to get software roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Although the campus is small, the facilities provided are very good. Wi-Fi coverage is in every building. There are labs with up-to-date equipment, a clean campus, classrooms of all sizes, etc. We also have a library building, which is very good in terms of the books available. Mess facilities are available for everyone, and the food is of good quality. There is also a sports complex.
Faculty: Professors are some of the best in the country. They have extensive research experience, and they also teach very nicely. The curriculum is highly relevant to go deep into the subject. It makes students industry-ready, but it also makes them research-ready due to the depth of courses. Semester exams are somewhat difficult, and the pass percentage is also good. Around 20-30 students fail or opt for doing that semester again out of 600 students.
Other: I chose this course because there is going to be a semiconductor boom in India and it's going to be wonderful for ECE and related students.

College curriculum is tough with high fees, but high placement and great faculty members.
Placements: Placement record of last year's batch was somewhat around 80 to 85%. This ratio varies among different branches. The minimum, according to my knowledge is 3.5 LPA, and the highest is somewhat around 1.2 crore. Approximately all the MNCs (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Nvidia) visit our campus to recruit students. Around 80% of students get placed among the shortlisted students (shortlist based on CGPA above 7).
Infrastructure: All day high-speed network is available on the campus. We have top-class infrastructure with modern facilities, all-time medical support, hostels are too good, having an AC in all the rooms, quality of food is not that much better but eatable, sports and gym open 24X7, and students can roam around the campus anytime, no restriction like other colleges have.
Faculty: Our college has great teaching faculty members. The course is relevant, and this can make the students industry-ready. But semester exams are tough, and we also have a plagiarism policy so curriculum is too tough. Atleast 20% fail in a particular subject but this varies from subject to subject.

IIIT-Delhi, placements downward spiral, but it increased, so it is worth it.
Placements: We have approximately 55 students in CSB and about 60% of students get placed as of now. The placement season is still going on. The highest salary package offered till now is 60 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 15-16 LPA. Almost all top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, MathWorks, Adobe, Tower Research, and many international companies like Uniqlo from Tokyo Japan, and Cispa from Germany also visited the college for placements. The top roles offered are SDE, data engineer, data science, consultant, and machine learning.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIIT Delhi is of top class. Labs are equipped with desktops having the latest Intel powerful chip all equipped with air-conditioned rooms. Classrooms have big a whiteboard along with multiple leads so that if the student is sitting far from the main board they can still see what the professor is writing. Mess food quality is good and the price is Rs. 3,350 for one month. For sports, we have an indoor badminton court, swimming pool, squash and table tennis. A gym is really great with all kinds of machines.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and come under the top 2-3% professor of country. They all did their PhD from overseas universities having multiple patents granted. Some professors lack good teaching methodology in spite of having great knowledge. The course curriculum is updated. Every professor changes some topic every year which makes the course relevant to the industry.

Best placements and good infrastructure, but academic life is stressful.
Placements: Placement is not good initially. But later on, almost 300+ students get placed out of 500, with an average package of 24 LPA, showing strong and well opportunities for future and development. If you're looking for the most advanced tech curriculum, this is the place.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch.
Faculty: Faculty is internationally graduated and is some of the best I could study with. However, some professors do not have the best teaching methods. Teaching and knowledge are two different things, but the professors never get stuck on the questions I ask. Faculty is supportive, and exams are a bit trickier than I expected, but this prepares us for the best. The course gets hectic, and academics are challenging. Every other day there are tutorials and quizzes that carry a lot of weight. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you don't attend classes, even YouTube can't save you.

It is a great college because of its placement records and excellent college life.
Placements: This college is known mainly for placements, as it has an excellent placement record. Every top company comes to our college, from Google and Microsoft to Adobe and Goldman Sachs. The average package is around 28 LPA, with almost 80% of students getting placed, even during the recession. These are the actual figures from the placement season 2024-2025. Everyone knows how much of a recession is going on in the CSE field. The college website might elevate the numbers, but every college does this. The top package goes around 1.0 crore, and even the lowest package is 8 LPA. The median package is around 25 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great, with good Wi-Fi speed in almost every part of the college. The library is open 24/7, even at night, so that students can study, and the canteen is also open 24/7. There is great nightlife in the college with no restrictions for anyone. Hostels are great too, with proper cleanliness. The mess food is also good. Hostels are much better than those in IITs. Sports facilities are also great and are open 24/7, with a gym and an indoor swimming pool.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are PhDs from abroad. Our director, Pankaj Jalote, is one of the most qualified teachers across India. The course is highly relevant in today's world. They start teaching DSA in the first year itself, and they don't teach any Physics or Chemistry courses like in other colleges, which makes the curriculum highly relevant. This also leads to academic sincerity, as the curriculum is on the tougher side. They have a plagiarism policy that doesn't allow the use of AI tools. Overall, it's all worth it, and the college is really good and helpful.
Other: Apart from academics, the college is great for fests and events. Many events go on throughout the year, like Bollywood Night, Cultural Night, Freshers, Tech Fest, Cultural Fest (Odyssey), and every fresher's favorite period. Which is Induction, when every fresher goes to college for the first time. I chose this college mainly for its great placement record and, most importantly, its relevant curriculum, which is missing in most colleges. A little bit of leniency in deadlines, in my opinion, would be really appreciated. Apart from that, everything is great in the college.

Very hard to sustain because of many deadlines, but really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college is best for placement if you're capable of studying. Placement percentage is around 65% this year, which is good as this year was very different. My branch has the highest placement percentage, which is around 80%. Many companies are there, such as Goldman Sachs, Winzo, etc. Software engineer and many high-level roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is very good; it is not vast as it is only 35 acres, but the buildings and everything are very good. Hostels are very good compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi in the college campus is very good and never disappoints. Labs are very well maintained, and the PCs are good there. Classrooms are vast, and the lecture halls are spacious. The library has three floors; it is very good, and each section is divided for studies and discussion. The hostel mess is very good as there are 2 messes. It has good sports equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, but some teachers were not that good, to be honest. The course curriculum is very good, as it does not teach Physics and Chemistry in the 1st semester and focuses on skills, coding, and Maths. Exams are not that difficult, and grading is relatively easy in almost all subjects.
Other: I like Maths and engineering. I would like it to focus more on coding, as it is a Maths course. Events are not that good, but the Odyssey fest is very good.
