Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB) - Batch of 2024
4.4

IUST is one of the best universities in Kashmir, and our university is well...
Placements: Around 60% of students are placed outside of Kashmir. The highest package in MBA IB is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Tata company, HDFC Bank, Jio company, etc. 80% in the banking sector and Amul. Top roles are MBA in Finance, MBA in HR, MBA in Marketing, and MBA in International Business.
Infrastructure: In IUST, the facilities and infrastructure are also good, and Wi-Fi is available in all the departments. Every facility is present in the hostel as well as the university. The mess is hygienic. Medical facilities are also available in the university, and an ambulance is present.
Faculty: Teaching quality is outstanding, our teachers are well-qualified, and they are friendly and help students when they are in doubt. The passing percentage of MBA IB is 45%. Semester exams are not difficult; it depends on the students whether they are hardworking or not.
Other: I chose MBA IB because International Business is a degree that gives us knowledge to work globally, and the best thing in my course is it prepares you to pursue lucrative roles with high-paying salaries. Every event, fest, ethnic day, and scholarship is present every year.

B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2024

IUST infrastructure is really good, located at a very good place, placements not so good.
Placements: Around 60 students were placed in my course. Around 31,000 Nestlé, Coca-Cola, ITC, 2-3% in Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Food Director. A lot of students couldn't make it to top companies because of the non-availability of seats. Only a few students were able to make it to top companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good. The hostel was good, but the food available was not good. Games were good, medical facilities were good, and sports were very good. They took us to various colleges for different competitions and events. The overall experience with the college was good.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were very helpful and qualified. Semester exams were very difficult. During exams, we had a really tough time, sleepless nights, and the stress was unbearable. We used to have very little time between the papers, but in the end, we are thankful we made it through.
Other: It was my father's choice about this course. I would like to read more about food and the basic things related to it. All the events and the campus crowd were excellent.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027
2.8

The faculty and infrastructure are fine; however, the placements are not satisfying.
Placements: Hardly any students in my course were placed in my university. The placement rate is below 10%. However, after getting my degree, most of the students get placed off-campus. So, not really a bad deal. You can come to IUST and get placed off-campus. There are no on-campus placements whatsoever.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The university is young and is growing rapidly. The classrooms are spacious, and the campus is quite huge with fields around. It has a lot of cafeterias and nice, spacious auditoriums; however, there is less scope for sports.
Faculty: The faculty is nice, with an excellent teaching style and excellent qualifications from reputed colleges, IITs, and NITs. The course curriculum is quite hectic, and you rarely get time for self-study. The semester exam papers are prepared by the teaching faculty and are checked by them too.
Other: The course I chose is well taught and given priority in my university. It would be better if they focused on making the students more industry-ready. The fests in our college are fine; however, there are hardly any clubs or student crowds.

IUST and the academic life.
Placements: Placements in the university are very good. Students who have a CGPA above 7 get placed easily. The highest on-campus placement was 5 lpa given by the company Bharat Petroleum. Another off-campus placement was for a computer sciences student, which was 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very nice and well built. There are buildings with top facilities and the labs regarding each course are much more advanced. Rumi library is where all sorts of books and journals are available and hostels are also very nice, well maintained and very clean. The food is also very hygienic.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are graduates of IITs or other top colleges. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is inspired by the curriculum of IIT and is very accurate and comprehensive. The exams are moderate, and more than 80% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because it was my personal interest and they have many advanced robotics labs in the university, which made my mind more inclined towards it. The time duration of the class should be more practical rather than theoretical. College hosts events and festivals once in every three months, which is very nice and sports event also occur. Scholarships are also available for SC/ST students.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
2.4
2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
It was a mistake to take admission to this very university that I might regret throughout my life.
Placements: Not confirmed as the university has not many connections with the companies that hire mechanical engineering students, which results in higher studies and ending up in an MBA, then joining as a salesperson in a shop. The toppers aren't guaranteed for the job; the rest aren't even on the list.
Infrastructure: Good but not great as compared to the fee that you're paying and also, sports facilities are the worst ever. There are no proper indoor or outdoor facilities for the respective games and you can't even complain as they are full of excuses. The rules are hectic, which are not even in IITs and you're forced to follow them; otherwise, you'll get punished.
Faculty: Some are brilliant and some are not. Some are really educated and some just copy and paste the notes and sometimes you'll realize that you can copy and prepare better alone without the help of the faculty. It is a horrible experience there every day, and the only day I'm waiting for is the day I finally graduate.
Other: The fee structure is very strict, which is very difficult for a financially weak student .

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty. They are good at teaching and provide learning environm
Placements: Approximately 60% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 90,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are from the hospital in Saudi Arabia which came to our college for their recruitment drive. Roles offered in our course are staff nurse and nursing tutor.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the university is excellent, with the availability of Wi-Fi in classrooms. Library is almost to continuing to lack books which is known as the room library of the Islamic University of Technology. Canteen and medical facilities are also available and are excellent. Sports week is held every month.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching are excellent. They help students to understand even the most difficult topics in a simple manner. Semester exams are conducted in time. Passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this degree because of my passion for medical health sciences and my passion for providing cures to people and helping them to lead a healthy life.
