It was a mistake to take admission to this very university that I might regret throughout my life.

Placements: Not confirmed as the university has not many connections with the companies that hire mechanical engineering students, which results in higher studies and ending up in an MBA, then joining as a salesperson in a shop. The toppers aren't guaranteed for the job; the rest aren't even on the list.

Review for the Islamic University of Science and Technology.

Placements: The placements occur at this university regularly. International companies regularly come here to offer jobs to students with a 24 Lac per year package and more. Students are very happy with those companies. Recently, they selected many students from our batch and hired them at a very good price.

IUST and the academic life.

Placements: Placements in the university are very good. Students who have a CGPA above 7 get placed easily. The highest on-campus placement was 5 lpa given by the company Bharat Petroleum. Another off-campus placement was for a computer sciences student, which was 24 LPA.

Our college is good in everything but lacks placements.

Placements: One thing that IUST lacks is placements. Every college in Jammu and Kashmir lacks placements. Our college does not guarantee placements. However, when there are placement opportunities, which are not available very often, students get placed in companies like Bajaj, BSNL, Jio, MI.Com, etc.

I am dissatisfied with placements, but facilities and infrastructure are average.

Placements: I did a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from this university. No one in our batch got placed in any of the companies. No company came to our campus for placements. Maybe 2 or 3 students got internships from our course.

IUST infrastructure is really good, located at a very good place, placements not so good.

Placements: Around 60 students were placed in my course. Around 31,000 Nestlé, Coca-Cola, ITC, 2-3% in Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Food Director. A lot of students couldn't make it to top companies because of the non-availability of seats. Only a few students were able to make it to top companies.

I am totally satisfied with our college.

Placements: There is almost a 1% chance of getting placements in our college. In the case of placements, this college lacks behind much. No companies visited here. Companies give first preference to NITs and IITs. In PSUs, there is no chance of getting a job until the qualification of the GATE exam.

It is the best university in terms of education but lacks in providing placement opportunities.

Placements: Our batch of B.Tech electrical engineering was the first batch in the university. Though the course was new, the university managed to provide us better education, and almost all the equipment was available for experimental purposes. We were sent to NIT Srinagar for those particals, which were not available in our institution. As far as the placements are concerned, it was almost 0%, that is why I rate it a single star.

Overall, I am satisfied with everything in our college.

Placements: Companies like Byju's, etc., visited our college for our placements, and many students got internships and worked for the companies sincerely. I am satisfied with our college placements. If you have good knowledge and good points in your academics, then you will surely get placed if companies visit here.

Civil engineering department of IUST review.

Placements: There is zero placement in campus. You have to struggle on your own to get the placement in any private company, or you have to work even more for getting in government jobs. Further if you want to get in PSUs or for M.Tech in reputed college or IITs or NITs then you to work even hard at own.

The college management is not supportive.

Placements: There is a placement cell in our university. It constantly makes an effort to ensure that every student in our university participates in placement interviews. We get e-mails from the placement cell about internships and jobs. I don't know the actual percentage of students who got placed.

It is one of the best universities. The infrastructure is great, and the faculty are good.

Placements: Our batch is yet to attend the placement drives. Our seniors didn't get many placement offers. The university doesn't invite companies to the campus. Once, there were certain reputed companies like IBM, Capgemini and HCL which recruited students from our college. Due to prevailing situations in the region, the chances of getting placed have decreased with time.

Not satisfied because of the poor infrastructure, placements, and industry exposure, etc.

Placements: There are no placements at all in the college, particularly in the civil department. Companies offering jobs don't visit the campus. There was not even a single student from our senior batch who got placed through the university. There is a placement cell, but it is not doing the work assigned to it.

I had a mediocre experience in the university.

Placements: Placements in our college are not much good. We are about to complete our degree but haven't had any comprehensive counselling on the opportunities ahead. Also, no distinguished company as such visited the college for placements. I'm still in the second last semester, so I don't know how to comprehend the placement policies and opportunities. Though our state does lack market and industrial exposure, it isn't anybody's fault in particular.

A review of Islamic University of Science and Technology.

Placements: There have been no placement drives as for now, especially in our department, but the college is working on it. Maybe this year, the college will start inviting companies for recruitment of students. Placements would be very helpful for students and give them a headstart in their professional careers.

Satisfied with the infrastructure and curriculum, but disappointed with the small playground.

Placements: Placements are not guaranteed in IUST. Few local companies visited the college, but the salaries offered were meagre. The college has a placement cell which is not very functional. If you're planning to seek a government job and appear for GATE, then the curriculum is quite useful, but if you're thinking to get placed in the campus placements, it is not much useful.

Faculty are loving, but the university is seriously lacking in most aspects.

Placements: The placements were scarce, and no noticeable placement took place in the university despite having a placement cell. The placement cell is mostly defunct, and it is not a good idea to expect anything from it. The only work that the placement cell does is printing bonafide certificates and giving notice of occasional employment opportunities.

I think IUST Awantipora wll lead in future if it improves in academics and administration.

Placements: Placements are not so fast. Most of the students leave the university without getting any job. About 2-5% of students got placed in some companies. The highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000. The average salary package offered was Rs. 30,000, and the lowest package offered was about Rs. 25,000. Iqausar Software Solutions, Outlook Group, Saskens Communication Technologies, Iyogi are some of the companies that visited our campus. The choice of students and motivating their skills was the top priori...

Dissatisfied with the changing rules, faculty and favoritism.

Placements: No placements are provided in the college. There is no placement cell present. The university isn't yet working on it, I hope the college will have a placement cell soon. As far as I know, a very low percentage of students got the job after their degree. The majority of the students are left without any job. The university should work more on placement cell so that the students can get placed on campus. No company visits the university for placements.

I suggest the students join this college as it is a good one.

Placements: Diploma holders join the college in the second year of a batch. SC and ST students are taken special care as they deserve some additional points. Merit depends on the marks obtained in the entrance exam.
