B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.2

Stop blaming the college. Everyone realizes its value after leaving the college.
Placements: At CCET, almost all of the students who sit for on-campus placements get placed. For the Batch of 2025, the highest package was 13 LPA and the lowest package was 3.6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Quark, Xenonstack, Gemini Solutions, U Trade, Edifecs, and many more. Almost above 90% of students get placed and get internships, but they should not have any backlog or their CGPA should be above the selection criteria of different companies (mostly CGPA should be above 7 or, in some companies, above 6.5). Most of the roles offered are development roles like web developer or full-stack developer. Other roles include Cloud Engineers, Quality Analysts, Testing Engineers, Data Engineers, and full-stack Java developers.
Infrastructure: According to me, the overall infrastructure of CCET is pretty good. Although it has a small campus area, it still has good infrastructure. The most important point is that it is known for its cleanliness. The college also provides Wi-Fi facilities, but in some areas of the college, it’s not working properly. However, in the labs, there are Ethernet cables where everyone can get an internet connection easily. Classrooms are well-finished, and the library infrastructure is amazing.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful if you are able to coordinate with them. If you have never talked to your teacher, then don’t expect any kind of help during your final viva or evaluation. However, if you have assisted them in any work or written any research paper, then you will definitely get the benefit. I want to clear that the course curriculum does not make you industry-ready, so don’t focus only on your academic subjects. Focus on specific subjects like DSA and choose one programming language. You have to prepare yourself for getting your placement or internship. Overall, the faculty is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you go to any one of them, they will always help you in any kind of situation. The semester exams are not really tough, as most of the questions are repeated each time and based on previous-year papers. The papers are also checked in the institute itself, so there is no hard marking, and you can easily get passing marks. (Keep in mind that if you are among the top 3 students of your class, then your full semester fees will be paid back to you. If you are in the 4th, 5th, or 6th position, then half of the fees will be paid back. This is a plus point of studying at CCET and having good academic results.)
Other: There has been a huge demand for Computer Science engineers in the last few years, and using Computer Science, we can solve any real-world problem or present solutions to solve any problem. Everything at present is dependent on software, and all those software are designed, developed, and maintained by Computer Science engineers. According to me, our course should have more practical knowledge than theory, and there should be internships in the industry to prepare students for industry demands. Not many events are organized at CCET, but one of the best events is the annual cultural fest, ApartiaM. Everyone enjoys a lot during this fest. Scholarships are provided based on merit for the top 6 students in each branch and also for minorities and EWS students.

Review of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: If you are a computer science student at this college, then the college will give you many great opportunities for placements and many internships throughout your engineering life. The average package of this college is 8 to 10 lacs in CSE, and if you are an electronic student, the average package is around 7 to 8 lacs, which is a decent amount of package for students in the civil and mechanical branches. The highest package was 32 lacs per annum. This was in campus placement; the highest package is 1.2 crore internationally. Throughout your engineering career, you will find many internship opportunities in your college WhatsApp group. Top companies like Amazon, Infosys, Whirlpool, Wipro, etc. come here for recruitment.
Infrastructure: As a hosteller, you will be provided with rooms in good condition. The best part is that the washrooms of the hostels were recently renovated, so they are in the best condition right now. The total cost of the hostel is only around 4000 per year and the mess cost is around 2500 per month. You will be provided with Wi-Fi connections throughout the day. There is a small park in the boys hostel where you can play football, cricket, etc. with your friends.
Faculty: There is a credit score system in our college. There are total 44 credit in an year and students have to achieve at least 50% credit to get promoted in another year. If you have less than 50% credit then you will be punished and you will be given year back on your marksheet.
Other: I am a computer science student here. I am in my 2nd year currently and there is a fest called Pritam at the college that comes once a year in October. Also, there are several clubs in our college for students who have interest in singing dancing robotics photography editing, etc. Participate in various fests organized by various IIT like IIT Bombay IIT Delhi, etc. And also, we have won many prizes there.

CCET got exposed by their own students.
Placements: Approximately 80% of students are placed in our course. The highest package offered on campus is like 32 LPA, which was recently, but we didn't get that high of a package. The top recruiters are Quark, Wipro, Teach Mahindra, Infosys and many more, and the top role is SDE.
Infrastructure: Computer labs in our college are decent because half of the computers don't work and are too old, so students bring their own laptops. The library is good to study in, and many books are available there to read. I am a day scholar student, so I don't have to worry about hostels.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are highly qualified, as all of them have doctorates, and they also give good guidance, but most of them don't want to teach because they believe that students should learn by themselves and do everything on their own. The semester exams are kind of medium-difficult.

A mad campus with realistic people.
Placements: Ninety percent of students were placed on our campus. The highest package given was 45 lakhs, and the lowest was 3 lakhs. The top recruiting companies were Amazon and Google. The top roles offered were software developer and software engineer. Almost everyone secured an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities and all were really good, including classrooms and the library. Wi-Fi is available, and classes are clean. The quality of the mess is not good, but hostel rooms are good. Many sports facilities are available, and the campus provides various medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are genuinely helpful and qualified. The teaching they provide is top-class. The course curriculum is very relevant, making students industry-ready. Semester exams are challenging, requiring students to prepare well.

Review of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placements for the mechanical branch are not good. Placements are decent for CSE and ECE courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. Hostels are not good. They need renovation. It is better to stay in PGs.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite dedicated to students. Our department faculty members care about their students. They are good. They try hard to teach students.
Other: Mechanical students mostly write GATE or other competitive exams. I would not recommend joining this college for students who want placements.

It is a good government college with a low fee, and it is located in a prime location in Chandigarh.
Placements: Most ECE and CSE students get placed here. The highest salary package offered is around 15 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Companies like Cent, Godrej, Infosys, Wipro, Webmob, etc., visit here. Most students get internship opportunities. The college has a training and placement cell for placements.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi facilities, digital classrooms, a library, etc. It has proper lab facilities for our course. Labs are also good. The hostel facilities are decent, with very low fees. The hostel has a vegetarian mess. It serves decent food.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Many seniors are studying in core fields. Exams are pretty exhausting, but they are good for us. Teachers try to teach us as well as they can.
