Yes, but sometimes it depends on the institute you want to join, but most of the institute gives you the admission in second year after diploma before applying just have look about that . All the best.

Admission to the 3rd Semester or 2nd year of B-tech is possible after completing Diploma. This is called lateral entry. Many private colleges take their own entrance exam for that. Dear Azaz, It will be good for you if you will appear in LEET entrance exam conducted by each state university. After appearing in exam, you will get good & low fee structure college. So, yes, you can get admission in engineering without entrance also.
