More about this course
  • This online course can help you decide your career path. The Computer Security Support Fundamentals course is the first step to discovering if a career in cybersecurity is right for you. By the end of this course, you will be able to identify security support roles, manage Windows computers, and securely configure network connections.
  • If you don't have experience in cybersecurity, but want to build a career in the field, this course can help you get started. You don't need to have a college degree to work in cybersecurity. All you need is the right skill set and a proven track record of success, which can be validated by CompTIA Security+ certification - the industry standard.
  • You'll learn basic cybersecurity concepts to prepare you for CompTIA Security+ training and certification. This online course can be completed in 6-8 hours and is accompanied by two additional cybersecurity courses to complete the CompTIA cybersecurity specialization.
  • This course does not require any pre-requisite knowledge. Once you complete the course, you'll have the fundamentals you need to dive into cybersecurity training. This course is different from other beginner cybersecurity courses because once you complete the specialization, you will be ready to pursue any CompTIA Security+ training that can lead to an industry-standard certification (CompTIA Security+) and open doors to an entry-level cybersecurity job.
  • In 2023, there are 663,434 job postings for open cybersecurity jobs in the United States and CompTIA Security+ is mentioned in 86,066 job descriptions, according to CyberSeek. The CompTIA IT Salary Calculator and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show that cybersecurity professionals in the United States earn an annual median salary of $112,000. This is 142% higher than the median national wage for all occupations.
