Hi,
I think more than the scope, the interest of individual matters for success in a particular area of law. Let's say, for example, I am interested in labor and employment law but I pursue company law after my law school. I would not be working with that zeal or enthusiasm as compared to labor and employment law.
Therefore, according to me, the interest mattes more than the scope as you can make money under any area of law and practice. But coming to the question, most of the areas of law are interlinked. Labour and employment-related things may be one of the aspects of the company.
What has the better scope? I think both of these are too diverse fields and have a lot of subject matters within.
Company Law is governed by a legislation but there are several legislations for labor and employment-related laws. It is very difficult to come to a conclusion as to what area of law has a wider scope. I would go with company law but.

Labour and employment law is a speciality that lawyers and attorneys with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree can pursue. They may work for law firms, government agencies, or organizations' in-house legal departments, representing employers, employees, or labour unions in labour and employment concerns.HR professionals who are interested in employment law can further their education and training in labour and employment law. Labour union representatives, usually referred to as union organizers or union officials, are frequently involved in labour and employment legislation. They assist employees in understanding their rights, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and advocating for equitable workplace treatment.
These are two completely contrasting fields and to excel in either of them, one needs to have passion and dedication to work in that direction. That being said, from a neutral point of view, if one is interested in both fields equally, the scope can greatly vary depending on where the person is working and what kind of work they are doing.
Competition Law is a new and upcoming field. The new Competition Act was passed relatively recently, replacing the older MRTP Act and the laws related to competition law are being shaped by various judicial pronouncements that are passed every now and then.
Labour law, on the other hand, has been around for a while. It also has a wider ambit as it covers several legislation. In terms of practice, both are good career options. Recently, there has been a lot of discussion on the relationship between competition law and Labour law, giving a lot of fodder for growth to both the fields.

The registrations for LSAT India 2025 will be started anytime soon in August 2025 on the official exam website of LSAT India - lsatindia.in. This year LSAT India will be conducted in two sessions, namely, LSAT India January session and LSAT India May session. The registration or application process for LSAT India 2025 January session will be made available from August 2024 to January 2025. The registration or application form LSAT India 2025 May session will remain open from August 2024 to May 2025. Candidates need to note that the LSAT India 2025 application / registration form could be only be filled out online on the website mentioned here. They cannot fill out the application form offline. The LSAT India registration fee 2025 for each session of the test was INR 3,999.

What are National Law Universities (NLUs)? Difference between NLUs and Private Law Colleges
The eligibility criteria for a Labour & Employment Law course may vary from one college to the other. However, candidates are eligible to apply for an integrated course with Labour & Employment Law as a specialisation if they have completed their Higher Secondary School/ Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent education from a recognised board. To pursue LLM course offered in the field of Labour & Employment Law candidates need to possess an LLB degree or equivalent education.
In India, child labor refers to the employment of children under the age of 14 years. The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act of 1986 prohibits the employment of children in hazardous occupations and regulates their working conditions in other occupations.
The act also provides for the rehabilitation of child laborers. Child labor is a serious problem in India, with an estimated 12 million children working in various sectors, including agriculture, domestic work, and the informal sector. Child labor deprives children of their right to education, exposes them to health and safety hazards, and traps them in a cycle of poverty.
CLAT is more difficult than LSAT India because of the time constraint. Candidates have only two hours to solve 150 questions in the exam. However, the time limit to solve 92 questions in the LSAT India exam is 2 hours and 20 minutes. Thus, it is difficult for candidates to complete all questions in the CLAT exam within such a short time limit. Moreover, the CLAT question paper includes questions from Current Affairs and General Knowledge. However, the LSAT India question paper does not include questions on Current Affairs and General Knowledge. Consequently, the LSAT India is comparatively easy because of its question paper pattern.

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell is likely to conduct the MH CET Law 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB exam in April 2026. The exam will be held in Maharashtra state and nearby cities. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for admission to 5-year LLB & 3-year LLB courses will held in computer-based mode at test centres allotted to applicants.
