The practical sessions are conducted for a limited number of days and hours, usually on weekends or holidays. To attend laboratory sessions, students need to enrol themselves for the lab sessions by paying a separate fee for each lab course and selecting their preferred study centre. The study centres are selected based on their proximity to the student's location. 

During the laboratory sessions, students will be provided with access to various lab equipment and tools required for conducting the experiments. Experienced lab instructors will guide the students through the experiments and assist when required. It is important to note that laboratory sessions are a crucial component of MSc Physics and students need to complete the lab sessions to fulfill the programme requirements. IGNOU MSc fee is cumulative of multiple components, such as registration fee, tuition fee, etc. The total tuition fee for the MSc course ranges from INR 15,000 to INR 43,200. In addition, the one-time fee ranges between INR 200 and INR 300. Students have to pay the fee amount after registration to confirm enrollment. Here are few things that students will recieve after taking admission in IGNOU:

• Once a students get admission into IGNOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
• Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university. 
• Registered students also recieve a mail from the regional or study centre for counselling. It is an induction ceremony where the course is introduced to the students.
• A schedule of classes is also shared through mail. For any query regarding classes, students must contact their study centre.
