IGNOU July 2024 PhD interview dates are now available for admissions under the Discipline of Child Development, Psychology and School of Social Work including the names and details of provisionally selected students.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the interview schedule for PhD students in the discipline of Child Development, Psychology and School of Social Work programmes. The authorities have released a detailed notification for each discipline including the respective IGNOU July 2024 session interview dates. 

As per the notification, the interview for PhD students in the Discipline of Child Development will be conducted on January 17, 2025, at 10 AM in offline mode only. Besides, for the School of Social Science, the interview of the candidates will be conducted from January 7 to 9, 2024 at the university premises. Meanwhile, the interview session for the School of Social Work will be conducted on January 16, 2024, at the conference hall of the university. 

IGNOU PhD Admission 2025: Documents Required for Verification

Students appearing for the IGNOU PhD interview shall carry the following documents with them at their respective institute: 

  • Application Form/ Admit Card
  • SSC Certificate for DOB proof
  • Graduation and Postgraduation mark sheet and certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • NOC from employer
  • Fellowship document (UGC, CSIR, GATE, CEED) specifying the validity periods of the fellowship.  

In the case of JRF, students have to bring their JRF award letter which will be checked for validity. The validity of the fellowship awarded by UGC must be within the permissible limit as stipulated in the award letter by the regulatory body. As per the UGC guidelines, all the selected candidates will be required to complete the coursework before the stipulated period.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for B.Ed in IGNOU?

A:
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) provides admission to its distance course Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. ) on the basis of merit in an entrance test conducted by IGNOU. IGNOU allows a maximum 5-year duration to complete this degree course. The eligibility criteria for the IGNOU B.Ed. are as follows: Academic eligibility: Graduation and/or post-graduation in any subject with at least 50% aggregate (except degrees in technology or engineering, where you need 55% aggregate). Professional Eligibility: Either be a trained "in-service" teacher in elementary education or have completed an NCTE-recognised teacher education programme in regular mode. Entrance exam qualification: The IGNOU-B.Ed. entrance test.

Food Nutrition

BSc (Home Science) specialisation in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition or PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition or Graduate (BSc Hons) or equivalent (MBBS, BHHS, etc.) from the following background – Home Science/ Food Science and Technology, Life Science, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical, Catering along with the DNHE or CNCC or CFN offered by IGNOU (simultaneous admission for CFN/ CNCC is also permitted)

Counselling and Family Therapy

Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university

Environmental Science

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Science/ Engineering/ Agricultural Science/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science from a recognised university

Mathematics with Application in Computer Science

- Graduate with a major or Hons in Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate - If the seats at a centre remain vacant then: Graduate with a BA/ BSc degree with Mathematics as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage, with at least 50% aggregate and 55% aggregate in the Mathematics
