How does the Placement Cell for B.A. at Institute of Home Economics (IHE) Assist Students in Getting Placed?

* Internship & Job Fairs: The placement cell, Eminence, hosted by students, organizes internship and job fairs where recruiters visit the campus and conduct interviews.
* On-Campus Placements: After completing the course, the college provides on-campus placements followed by an interview screening procedure.

Admission to all the Institute of Home Economics courses is entrance-based. While Institute of Home Economics accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, admission to all the PG programmes will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. Step 1: Visit the official CSAS portal of DU (UG or PG depending on the course level a student is seeking to get into) and register as a new user. 

Step 2: Fill out the preference of Institute of Home Economics and course combinations. This portal will be used until the admission process of the candidate is not completed. 

Step 3: There is a one-time CSAS UG and CUET PG-2024 application fee that students are required to pay to get into any DU affiliated college, such as Institute of Home Economics. This fee is non-refundable.

No, there is no offline method of application at Institute of Home Economics. All the candidates must apply through the centralised entrance exam's official website, i.e., the official websites of CUET UG and CUET PG exam. After the COVID years and after the introduction of CUET UG and CUET PG for admission to Institute of Home Economics and other DU-affiliated colleges, the application process has shifted full-time to the online mode. Candidates can register on the official websites of the respective exam, fill out the online application forms, pay the course-wise application fee and appear for the exam to become eligible. For final admission, shortlisted and pass-out students of CUET UG and CUET PG are required to register on the CSAS portal for final admission and seat allocation process.
