BTech is one of the most popular courses offered by the College of Engineering, Pune. The college offers BTech across ten specialisations such as Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Metallurgy & Material Technology, Information Technology Engineering, Manufacturing Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Engineering. No, there is no such provision to get direct admission in any of the UG, PG, or doctoral courses. COEP Technological University (formerly known as COEP) admissions are strictly based on merit only. Therefore, only those candidates who have valid scores/ rank of MHT-CET, GATE, JEE-Main, among others can apply for any of the courses provided by the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). Hence, the interested candidates need to take these entrance exams according to their choice of course in which they want to enroll.

COEP Technological University (Formerly known as COEP) mainly intake admission through MHT-CET and the eligibility criteria laid down by MHT-CET for BTech is the candidate should have passed class 12 or SSC or Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 45% aggregate.

COEP also inducts students through JEE-Main for which additionally 25% seats are reserved for All India Candidates (apart from Maharashtra domicile candidates) and the there is no minimum percentage in class 12 is required to take JEE-Main entrance exam.
