Our college has good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement percentage of CSE is 100%. The placement percentage of other departments like mechanical, civil, aerospace, electronics, and many more is around 70-80%. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Mahindra, Hero, JSPL, etc. More than 60% of students got internships at Mahindra, NPTC, DRDO, Indian Railway, etc. Top roles offered are manager, senior engineer, trainer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available 24X7. Labs are in good condition. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners. There are libraries in each department. Our college has a central library. The hostel is good. The food served in the hostel is expensive. You will get to eat continental food. The canteen offers a wide range of tasty food items. There is an SRM hospital that will give free checkups and a 50% discount on medicine and surgery.
Faculty: All teachers are very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it is updated after every four years. If you want to become industry-ready, you need to get out of college and explore yourself. It will show you the path. It is easy to get pass the exams, but for good marks, you need to work hard. The pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. The best thing about the mechanical course is it has very good exposure to clubs. They should provide more lab equipment. Many events and fests are held in our college. Students are eligible for scholarships if they score 10 CGPA. Extracurricular activities are held in our college. SRM has very good exposure to sports. They provide scholarships to state-level players.

I am satisfied and happy with my experience in this college so far.
Placements: 1. Around 80-85% of students who opt for placements are offered a job. 2. Top recruiters include Texas Instruments, TCS, Microsoft, Tata Motors, etc. (depending on the course). 3. The college provides ample opportunities for Higher Education, Semester Abroad as well as Job Placements. 4. The college also encourages internships (Both in-college as well as external). 5. The placement training program is quite detailed and efficient.
Infrastructure: 1. SRM provides good lab facilities and great lab technicians and assistants who go out of their way to help you in your classwork as well as personal projects. 2. The college also provides full AC classrooms with restricted Wi-Fi access (Browsing only) in class. 3. Mechanical engineering department houses the most sophisticated of equipment in this field including 3D printers, Robotics, and CNC machines among others. 4. Students are encouraged to utilize lab facilities after hours and under supervision. 5. The college has a FabLab which provides 24-hour access to all students to complete minor and major projects. 6. The hostels are decent and the mess food is adequate. 7. Students can opt between AC/Non-AC and Common/Personal Toilet options depending on their preferences and needs. 8. Hostels for 1st years are private and little to no ragging takes place inside the campus. 9. The hostels provide good Wi-Fi connectivity but the network in some areas is limited.
Faculty: 1. The teachers are quite knowledgeable in their respective fields and are helpful if you reach out to them. 2. The course may seem a bit abstract at times with the 1st year curriculum being common for all branches. 3. The college also offers a wide variety of minors, optional courses, major and minor projects, internships and extra-courses to make up for this. 4. The college also provides opportunities to compete in hackathons, competitions and seminars (Both in-campus and external). 5. The college Incubation Centre, SIIC provides funding towards possible startups as well as marketable projects and helps in the development of the same both financially and technically.

Review of SRMIST - SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Placements: Due to the covid, the placement percentage is affected for core branches, but the overall placements are good. The highest package offered was 35 LPA, and the lowest package was 3 LPA. Companies like Honda, Mahindra, Tata, L&T, Suzuki, Hyundai and others came for recruitment. Due to covid, getting internships is tough.
Infrastructure: SRM has a very big library, and you can find any book there. SRM has a world-class infrastructure, maybe one of the best in India. SRM also has one of the best labs for the mechanical branch, and it boasts of having a helicopter, an aeroplane and a BMW M3 engine. The hostels are decent and clean, and the food served is much better than the other colleges.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and very helpful. They all are qualified enough to teach us. Mechanical is the best course offered by SRM. SRM has the best infrastructure for mechanical, undoubtedly. For the fact that SRM provides one of the best labs, it makes you industry-ready.
Other: I always had a liking for the automotive industry, and this is the main reason behind choosing mechanical. The best thing about this course would have to be the practicals. SRM has 2 fests in a year. One is Aarush, i.e., a techno-management fest, and another one is Milan, a cultural event and one of the best in India. Connectivity is really good, and the local train station is just across the main road outside the campus.
