About Tamil Nadu 12th board exam 2025

Directorate of Government Examination, Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) conducts TN 12th examinations every year. The Board prescribes the books, syllabus, exam pattern for the exams. Board exams to be conducted twice a year, says MOE

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that it will conduct Board exams twice a year from the session 2024 and students will be allowed to retain the best score. The New curriculum framework as per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) is ready and textbooks will be developed for the 2024 academic session. It said that students of Class 11 and 12 need to study two languages, and at least one of them must be an Indian language. As per the updated curriculum framework, the choice of subjects in classes 11 and 12 will not be restricted to streams such as arts, science, and commerce to give students flexibility to choose.

TN Board, however, is yet to release any official notification on this. Thus, TN board exams twice a year from 2024 is not confirmed yet. Check this page regularly to stay updated.

The TN board released the Tamil Nadu 12th date sheet 2025 in October 2024. The exams will be held from March 3 to March 25, 2025. The TN 12th time table mentions the exam dates for the subjects covered in class 12th along with their timings.

Students are required to carry their Tamil Nadu 12th Hall ticket 2025 on all days of the examination. They will not be allowed inside the exam hall, if they fail to produce the same. They should remember that TN 12th Hall ticket 2025 is an important document. They need to carry it on the exam days.

Part 1 includes language. Part 2 includes English. Part 3 consists of Mathematics, Physics, Economics, computer technology, Chemistry, ZOOLOGY, COMMERCE, MICRO BIOLOGY, BIOLOGY, BOTANY, HISTORY, ACCOUNTANCY, GEOGRAPHY etc.

The TN Plus two exam is held for 3 hours. First 10 minutes is given for reading the question paper. Then 5 minutes is given for verification of particulars by the candidate. Then 3 hours is allotted for writing.
