11 of 50 toppers in CA entrance from Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is the city of toppers when it comes to the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) examination – the entrance exam for Chartered Accountancy (CA). Eleven students from Ahmedabad are amongst the top 50 of the IPCC. Overall, the city has recorded a pass percentage of 26.71 per cent this year, which is higher than the national average of 19.39 per cent.
Emerging as the hub of CAs, Ahmedabad is home to Jagravi Shah, who has scored the third position at the all-India level. Utsav Sanghvi, whose All India Rank at IPCC is #18, is also from Ahmedabad. He aspires to become an IAS officer after completing his CA. Read more
Recently, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced that graduates and postgraduates will be able to register directly for the CA course. They can undergo three years of training under a practicing chartered accountant after registration and can give the IPCC exam after completing nine months of training.
