How to prepare for popular Information Design entrance exams?

To prepare for a top entrance exam like NID, the candidate needs to follow a strict exam preparation plan:

  1.  Get familiar with the exam syllabus: The syllabus of each entrance exam is unique. Also, two exams may have the same topic, but the weightage carried by them may vary. Again, make it a point also to closely follow the exam pattern.
  2. Solve sample papers and previous years' question papers: By solving sample papers, the candidate will be able to develop problem-solving skills and get a better understanding of the various concepts. Previous years' question papers on the other hand will help the candidate check out question paper trends, the difficulty level of questions asked, the weightage carried by various topics, etc.
  3. Do timely revision: Along with doing the regular study, the candidate must also make sure to go through the previously read topics again until these topics are truly mastered. When revising, make sure to solve problem sets for each topic/ concept.
  4. Attempt mock tests: These tests are a simulation of the real thing and will thus help the candidate get an exam-like ambiance to attempt the test. Mock tests will thus help the candidate learn the tricks of handling pressure-cooker situations and getting out of difficult situations unscathed.
