PTET 2025: This teaching entrance exam is being conducted in Rajasthan for colleges offering BEd, BA BEd, or BSc BEd.

Candidate is granted admission based on their understanding of mental ability, general awareness, teaching attitude & aptitude test, and language proficiency. What is PTET exam?

PTET is a state-level pre-teaching entrance exam. This entrance exam serves as an admission gateway to BEd and integrated BA BEd/ BSc BEd program colleges. It is conducted in pen-and-paper mode once a year. You must have completed your graduation or be in your final year, waiting for the results to appear for the exam.

Before VMOU, the exam was conducted by Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara.

PTET 2025 Counselling

The Rajasthan PTET Counselling is conducted in multiple phases for BEd and integrated courses, BA BEd/ BSc BEd. The eligible ones can participate in the admission process. Let's understand how this procedure works.

Counselling Process Registration

After the release of the official notification, all the qualified candidates can start registering for the counselling process on the official website. The counselling registration wouldn’t be successful without paying the processing fee of INR 5000. Enter all the important details like your roll number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth (DOB) during the form filling.

Choice Filling/ College Preference

The registration round is followed by the PTET choice filling round. Candidates must enter the list of teaching colleges where they wish to get admission. They will be allocated a college based on the availability and rank. They can select, delete, and lock the choices before the last date.

Seat Allotment

In every Rajasthan PTET counselling phase, the candidates are allocated a seat. The seat allocation process is done based on the candidate’s preference, their rank, seat availability, category, and chosen course. After the seat allocation, pay the remaining fee of INR 22,000 if you’re locking the seat.

College Reporting

Candidates, if they are satisfied, their allocated seat must report to the college before the deadline with all the important documents.

Upward Movement

In case candidates are not satisfied with the college allotted to them, they can apply for the upward movement. Fresh seat allotment is done for such candidates.

College Allotment List

The PTET college allotment list consists of the names of colleges allotted to candidates who have qualified in the exam. The list is released on the official website of the exam conducting body. After being allotted to the college, candidates must confirm their admission by paying the requisite fee. If they fail to pay the fee within the stipulated time, their candidature might be canceled. To check the PTET college allotment list 2025, aspirants must visit the official website and follow the steps mentioned below -

  • On the homepage click on the "College Allotment List" button
  • Enter the login credentials and enter submit.
  • The list of colleges will appear on the screen which will consist of details such as the candidate's name, Roll number, Category, College name, Course, and Seat number.
  • Once allotted to the college, aspirants will have to submit a fee of INR 22,000 to lock the college.

If aspirants are not allowed the college in the first round, they can wait for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Once aspirants get to know the allotment result, they will have to cross-check all the information such as their name, roll number, and date of birth, and ensure that it is correct. Candidates also get the opportunity to check their college allotment status by sеnding an SMS to 09414022111.

What after the Rajasthan PTET Seat Allotmеnt Result 2025

Students who get allotted the college will have to follow the below-mentioned steps - 

  • PTET aspirants will have to report to their allotted college and get started with the admission process.
  • Aspirants who are not satisfied with the college can request a college upgrade and their names will be further added in the next round of the seat allotment.
  • If candidates are satisfied with the current college they need to pay the fee and lock their seat. The first step is to fill in the fee which is INR 22,000 to lock your seat.
  • Appear for the document verification process where they will have to verify all their original documents such as their Aadhar card, personal photo ID, and educational qualifications to ensure their authenticity. Please note that do not submit any original documents or handover them over to anyone. Once the DV process is completed collect all the documents.
  • Once the complete seat allotment process is done with, and there still are few seats remaining, waitlisted candidates may get a chance based on their merit. After the complete process, the classes will commence for 2 years of individual programs or 4 years of integrated programs.

PTET 2025 Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria if they wish to appear for the Rajasthan PTET exam

For BEd Course

  1. Applicants who have successfully completed their graduation/post-graduation from any recognized university established by law with a minimum of 50 percent marks, deemed equivalent to the graduation/post-graduation examinations of universities in Rajasthan State, are eligible. 
  2. Candidates, who have passed Graduation from any University by appearing in only one Examination (One/Single Sitting), even if they have cleared PG degree based on this degree, are not eligible to appear in PTET 2025. Likewise, candidates who have not studied through 10+2+3 scheme or 10+1+3 (old scheme) are also not eligible to appear in PTET. However, BAP/BCP/BSCP examination passed candidates from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota who have completed their three-year graduation later, will also be eligible for the PTET entrance test and admission as per merit.
  3. As per National Education Policy 2020, those with a four-year bachelor's degree are also eligible for this examination. 
  4. Those who are appearing in the qualifying examination i.e. BA/BCom/BSc/Shiksha Shastri Final year and/or MA/MCom/MSc/Acharya Final year may also apply and
    appear in the PTET 2025, subject to the condition that they should have their result up to the last date of Online Counseling Registration and have Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination with eligibility percentage. 

Relaxation for Reserved Categories

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Disabled, Widows, Deserted Females (all reserved categories and natives of Rajasthan State), a minimum of 45 percent marks in the graduation or post-graduation examination is desirable. There are no relaxations whatsoever in the minimum percentage requirement, not even by a single mark.

For BA BEd/ BSc BEd Course

  1. Science in 12th
  2. Must have atleast 50% marks as aggregate score from a known board. They must fulfill the other requirements for admission to a 4-year course. However, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, most backward classes as well as physically challenged and widow or divorced women candidates of Rajasthan having at least 45% marks in aggregate in the Senior Secondary Examination and fulfilling the other requirement for admission to 4 years BA BEd/ BSc BEd course, prescribed hereinafter will be eligible to apply for admission to 4 years BA BEd/BSc BEd course through BA BEd/BSc BEd Entrance Test 2025. No relaxation in the minimum percentage (not even of one mark) as required above will be given to any candidate. 
  3. If a candidate has passed Class 10th and subsequently completed a minimum two-year course recognized by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), along with English subject for Class 12th from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, or Rajasthan State Open School, Jaipur, they will be considered equivalent to a Class 12th
  4. It is also stated that only Senior Secondary Examination passed or appearing in science faculty candidate is eligible for admission in 4 years BSc BEd course.
  5. In the Senior Secondary Examination, candidates with Arts, Commerce and Science faculties will be eligible for admission 4 years BA BEd course.
  6. Those who are appearing in the qualifying examination i.e. Senior Secondary School Examination will also be eligible, subject to the condition that they shall have their result up to the last date of online Counseling registration and have Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination with eligibility percentage. 

Some Self-explainatory Eligibility Rules

  1. For the purpose of PTET 2025 merit, Faculty-wise, the candidate’s Faculty is the faculty in which he/she has passed the graduation examination which is the qualifying examination and enables him/her to opt subjects for practice teaching. The PG Examination of a different Faculty other than that of graduation shall neither be taken into consideration for determining the merit nor for opting for a school teaching subject.
  2. Where a candidate has passed Post Graduate Examination in two subjects of the same Faculty, which is different from the faculty of graduation, he/she may be
    assigned the Faculty of PG. Examination for determining the merit if chosen, provided both the subjects of PG. Examination are School teaching subjects.
  3. Economics cannot be opted by a Commerce Graduate.
  4. Those who are not able to opt at least two practice teaching subjects for BEd Course in accordance with subjects shown against BEd Colleges must not appear in the PTET 2025, as admission will not be granted with a subject which is not in the syllabus of BEd, in any of the University. 
  5. Candidates who have passed BBA/BCA/BSW/BE/BTech/BSc(Biotech/ Microbiology/Environment Science) or any such degree which does not have any school teaching subject are not eligible for admission in BEd Course.
  6. Anyone who does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions as on the last date prescribed for submission of the online application for PTET 2025 may apply and appear in the PTET. However, his/her candidature will be cancelled, and admission will not be granted if he/she does not fulfil the eligibility conditions up to the last date of registration for online counselling.
  7. The candidate not eligible in terms of rules shall not get any right to admission on grounds of depositing the registration fee or admission fee with the scheduled bank. 
  8. Others: -

a) As per existing rules for admission to BEd Course in a Teacher Education College in Rajasthan, a candidate, passing a Degree Examination of three years duration (after intermediate) by a university where Part I Examination is not conducted by the University and the marks obtained thereafter are not included in the mark sheet of Part II for the award of division, is not eligible to appear in PTET 2025 for admission to BEd Course.

b) In the case of Honours Graduate, if he/she has not studied the same subsidiary subject for at least two years, an appearing in the University Examination for both the years separately, he/she is not eligible to offer the subsidiary subject as a teaching subject and so to appear in the PTET 2025.

c) However, BAP/BCP/BSCP examination passed candidates from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota who has completed their three-year graduation later on, will also be eligible for the PTET entrance test and admission as per merit.

Rajasthan PTET Reservation Criteria

The reservation only for Rajasthan domicile will be made as given hereunder as per the rules of the state government.

Note:

  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Most Backward classes of Rajasthan shall be required to produce a certificate to that effect from a competent authority.
  • The Term ‘Wards’ in means only the son, daughter, wife or husband of the Defence personnel. Real sister and real brother may also be treated as wards of Defence personnel, provided they are dependent on the guardian Defence personnel and the candidate’s parents are not alive.
  • Divorced woman shall be required to produce a certificate in the form of the decision of the Court to the effect that she has been divorced and an affidavit to the effect that she has not married again, duly attested by Notary.
  • For Defence personnel/wards, a certificate issued by the Major of the Unit/Secretary, Soldiers Board as per rules shall be produced, failing which, the benefit under this category will not be granted. BSF, CRPF and other paramilitary force personnel and their wards are not covered under this category.
  • For deciding the claim of a person to be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan a Bonafide resident certificate issued by a competent authority will be essential. However, the candidates who have passed their 10th, 12th, and Graduation examinations from Rajasthan and their addresses belong to Rajasthan will be treated as bonafide residents of Rajasthan without producing any certificate.
  • In the case of an out of state woman who got married to a bonafide resident of Rajasthan, the place of bonafide residence of her husband may be considered as her bonafide residence in Rajasthan, provided bonafide residence certificate of her husband and marriage certificate obtained from District Magistrate are submitted at the time of online application for PTET 2025.
  • Wards of defence personnel and Central Govt. employees, who have/had been posted outside Rajasthan but such defence personnel/Central Government employees who originally belong to Rajasthan may be considered eligible for admission to BEd. course, provided a bonafide residence certificate from a competent authority is submitted at the time of online application for PTET 2025.
  • As far as possible, the candidate will be allotted Examination Centre in the district as per the preference/choice filled in his/her online application. No request for change in the Centre will be entertained.
  • A candidate, who is in the PH category and cannot perform blackboard teaching is not eligible.
  • Any false statement of facts noticed at any stage will automatically result in the cancellation of candidature and admission to the course. If it has already been made, the entire responsibility will lie with the candidate concerned and the fee deposited will not be refunded.
  • Candidates of other States will be treated in General Category only. Out of the total number of faculty-wise seats, not exceeding 5% seats will be filled in by the candidates from the other States based on overall merit, irrespective of the State to which the candidate belongs, provided that merit of a candidate from outside Rajasthan is not less than the merit of the last candidate belonging to Rajasthan in general category. Remaining seats, if any, will be available to the candidates who are bonafide residents of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan PTET Admission Process

The admission process includes the listed stages:

Application Form Filling

If you wish to appear for the PTET exam, then start by filling out the application form. You also have to pay INR 500 for form submission.

Downloading the Hall Ticket

Next, download the PTET admit card 2025. It will help you know the exam centre and timings. Without carrying this hall ticket, you can't appear for the exam.

Appear for the exam

If you have done the first two steps, then all left is reaching the exam centre. Make sure you arrive at least an hour before the exam entry starts on the scheduled date.

Check the PTET exam result

You can guess your score with the help of the answer key. It is released before the result. Check your result using the login credentials. 

Counselling

If you have cleared the exam, register for the counselling process. You can get admission in your preferred college if you appear on time with the right documents.

PTET Application Form 2025

The Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test 2025 application window for the BEd courses is now closed. The application process began on March 5, 2025. The application process starts in the first week of March each year with the exam-conducting body. Eligible candidates can visit the official website to apply for this pre-teaching exam, which is typically held in June. The entire application process includes the listed stages.

1. PTET Application Form

Rajasthan PTET application form requires details candidate's name, father's name, date of birth, and contact number. Candidates can pay the application form fee INR 500. 

2. Rajasthan PTET Fee Payment

After the successful filling of the Rajasthan PTET application form, the fee payment is required via online mode. The fee can be paid by debit card/credit card or e-Mitra. In offline mode, the candidates can visit the e-Mitra branch via the payment invoice. The next day, the application form printout will be available.

3. Print out the Rajasthan PTET Application Form

During the counselling process, especially the college reporting, candidates must take out the hard copy of the application form.

PTET 2025 Admit Card

The PTET 2025 admit card is released on the official website of the exam. The hall ticket is an important document to be carried to the exam centre. Candidates were required to download a colour print-out. It is suggested to download two copies, as one copy is required to be submitted at the exam centre. PTET 2025 Answer Key

Before the result declaration, the exam conducting body releases the provisional answer key. Candidates can predict their score. They can raise objections to any question if they think any given answer is incorrect. They need to pay some amount for every question. The authorities also verify the objections. If it is valid, they accept it. The final answer key is released after it.

Rajasthan PTET Results 2025

The candidates could check their results on the official website from July 2 onwards. To check the qualification status of PTET, candidates must enter their login credentials -  roll number or application form number to download their scorecard.

Note: Declaration of result shall also be informed through Newspapers. The information about their selection status for admission in BEd. Course will be sent by posts. However, as far as possible, information will be given through SMS on the mobile number given by the candidate in their online admission form. The material related to the examination will be kept preserved for six months after the examination. Thereafter, the material will be disposed of.

No, the PTET  (Pre-Teacher Eligibility Test) OMR sheet cannot be sent for rechecking or re-evaluation, as there is no provision for it. The results based on the OMR response are considered final, and candidates are advised to mark their answers carefully during the exam to avoid errors

To pass the Rajasthan PTET (Pre Teacher Education Test), candidates generally need to score at least 40% in the exam. There is no provision for grace marks according to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. The PTET exam is conducted for admissions into BEd. courses.
