You can pursue BDes in Film and Video Design after completing Class 12, 3-year diploma, B.Voc or any other qualification that is equivalent to Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks. CEED is an entrance exam for postgraduate Design courses such as M.Des and UCEED entrance exam is for undergraduate Design courses such as B. Des. UCEED is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Many reputed colleges such as Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ) aceept UCEED scores. You should have qualified for CEED exam if you wish to seek admission to Master of Design M.Des programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur, and to Ph.D. programmes in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.
NTA will commence the CUET registrations 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in tentatively in first week of March. Candidates can fill the online CUET application form online on official website when released. Candidates will be able to enter the personal, educational and CUET subject details to appear for the exam. Candidates must pay the CUET application fee to complete the registration process.
To do well in an entrance exam like NIFT, the candidate is expected to have good drawing skills. Note that the NIFT paper will have two sub-exams - CAT and GAT.
The CAT or the Creative Ability Test will evauate the drawing skills of the candidate.
So, unless you have above average drawing skills, you might struggle.
