Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for nursing colleges in Kolkata?

A: 

Students can choose from two-course options for graduate-level (duration – four years) - BSc (Basic) and BSc (Post-Basic), postgraduate level MSc in Nursing (duration – 18 months to three years) and PhD in Nursing (tw0 to three years). Eligibility criteria for the two is mentioned below:

  • BSc (Basic)– Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and should be medically fit.
  • BSc (Post-Basic) –Candidates must have passed Class 12 in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). One has to get a certificate in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) and register him/herself as RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) from the State Nurses Registration Council.
  • MSc in Nursing -Candidates must have passed BSc Nursing / BSc Hons Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate.
  • PhD in Nursing -Candidates must have passed MSc Nursing with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate.

Q:   What is the current scenario of NEET UG Counselling 2024?

A: 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted the NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round counselling from November 20 to November 30, 2024. The payment process was conducted from November 20 to November 21, 2024. The choice filling and locking rounds were held from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The provisional seat allotment result was declared on November 22, 2024, and the final result was declared on November 23, 2024, followed by the institute reporting process from November 25 to November 30, 2024.

MCC conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling process started on October 22 and October 23 respectively. The last dates of registration and choice filling and locking were extended till October 27 from October 25 and October 26 respectively. The provisional and final result was released on October 29 and October 30, 2024, respectively.

The Round 3 was conducted from October 3 to October 19, 2024. 

The NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 concluded on September 27, 2024. The round started on September 13, 2024.

The Round 1 of NEET 2024 counselling was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. 

MCC had announced that the NEET 2024 counselling dates on July 29, 2024. As of now, four rounds of counselling has been announced, which will conclue on November 5, 2024. The total number of rounds may vary based on the number of vacant seats. Ahead of the commencement of the NEET 2024 counselling process,

Q:   When did NEET 2024 counselling process begin?

A: 

NEET 2024 counselling dates were announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 29, 2024. NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 is being conducted from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The Round 3 was conducted from October 2 to October 19, 2024. The Round 2 registration process began on September 5, 2024 and reopened from September 13 to September 16, 2024. The Round 1 was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. MCC revised the dates on September 13, 2024, with the reopening of the registration process of Round 2 due to the change in seat matrix. As per the revised dates, the last date of the counselling is November 5, 2024. The number of rounds may get extended depending on the number of vacant seats. The state medical authorities will conduct the counselling process for the 85 per cent state quota seats. The dates for counselling were different for the national level and state level admission processes. There will be four to six rounds of NEET counselling, which is the gateway for admission to medical and allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BSc Nursing.

NEET or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test involves various stages or events. The dates for each event are announced by the exam conducting body, National Testing Agency (NTA), in advance. Q:   When will the NEET 2025 registration start?

A: 

NTA is expected to start the NEET 2025 registration in the first week of March 2025. The last date of application will be scheduled in the first week of April 2025. Based on student requests and other external factors, NTA may extend or reopen the NEET application window by mid-April. NEET 2025 is expected to be conducted in the first week of May 2025. NEET 2025 application process will be conducted online. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form in an online mode along with the payment of the application fee.

Q:   When will the seat allotment result for JENPAS UG counselling announced?

A: 

JENPAS UG counselling seat allotment result will be announced online for the Round-1 counselling. For the round-2 counselling, WBJEEB will release the seat allotment result seperately. A third, mop-up round will be conducted for the seats that remain vacant. Candidates will be able to download the seat allotment result for the mop-up round as all the updates/results that will be published on wbjeeb.nic.in. 

Q:   How many rounds of counselling will be conducted by WBJEEB after JENPAS UG exam?

A: 

As per the official guidelines, a total of three rounds of counselling will be held including the mop-up round for JENPAS UG 2025 seat allotment. It is mandatory to participate in the counselling process in online mode. All the counselling related information and procedures will be available and followed via official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates are advised to check the important dates and schedule to stay abreast with the latest counselling events. 

Q:   Do I need to pay any seat acceptance fee for admission via JENPAS UG exam?

A: 

As per the guidelines issued by WBJEEB, a candidate must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only), to download the allotment letter. If the candidate fails to pay the seat acceptance fee, the current allotment will be cancelled, and he/she will not be considered for seat allotment in any future round. The online counselling process can be accessed through wbjeeb.nic.in website for admission to UG level courses.
