The WBJEE JECA 2025 admit cards are OUT, and will be available from October 10 - 19, 2025. Registered candidates can now access their JECA 2025 hall ticket by logging in using their application number and date of birth. The WBJEE JECA 2025 exam will be conducted on October 19, 2025. It will be a pen-and-paper test. According to the JECA exam pattern 2025, the test would include 100 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs). 

Details of the covered topics can be found in the WB JECA 2025 syllabus. The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination can be checked on the WBJEE JECA result page. Qualified candidates will have to participate in the online JECA seat allotment process. Allocation of candidates will be based on their rank, preferences, category, and seat availability.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for Computer Application, commonly known as WBJEE JECA is the exam for admission to MCA courses. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the WBJEE JECA every year for admission in the colleges of West Bengal.   • Candidates must have passed 3 3-year bachelor's degree program from a university recognised by UGC.
  • They should have secured at least 60% marks in Honours/Aggregate(45% for SC/ST candidates) OR
  • Candidates should have a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree from institutes/colleges recognised by the AICTE, with a minimum of 60% marks in mathematics at the bachelor's level.

Module 2

  • They must have a UGC and/or AICTE-recognised bachelor’s degree of 3 years, except for BBA with mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level.
  • Obtained 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC – A/OBC – B candidates) at the graduation level.

Module 3

  • Candidates must have completed graduation or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University/Institute.
  • Candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education.
  • Candidates must have secured 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/O>BC-B candidates) at each level of education.

WBJEE JECA 2025 Exam Pattern

The WBJEE JECA exam pattern 2025 will provide candidates with details on how the examination will be conducted. Being familiar with the exam pattern will be beneficial to candidates, as they will know what to expect during the examination. Yes. As per the official WBJEE JECA exam pattern, there is a negative marking for wrong answers. For Category I questions, 1/4th of the mark will be deducted for wrong answers. There is no negative marking for Category II questions. Because in Category I there is negative marking, the candidates should be cautious while giving answers.

Q:   Will WBJEE JECA be conducted online?

No. WBJEE JECA will be carried out as an offline test, i.e., pen-and-paper-based test. Answers to the questions need to be mentioned on specially designed OMR sheets, supplied by the authorities. These will be multiple choice questions (MCQs).  From the given options, candidates would need to choose and mark the correct answer by completely darkening the suitable circle/bubble with a blue/black ink ball-point pen.

Q:   What is the duration of the WBJEE JECA exam?
A: 

The WBJEE JECA exam is a 2-hour examination. The candidates will have to solve 100 multiple-choice questions within the given time. The candidates will not be given any additional time. Once the examination time is completed, the candidates are required to stop marking the answers, or otherwise their OMR sheets will be deemed invalid.

No, one month is not sufficient time to prepare for the WBJEE JECA. The WBJEE JECA syllabus is vast, and it's not possible to cover all the topics in one month. If you have been or are a BCA student, then it can be less challenging for you since most of the subjects of WBJEE JECA and BCA are similar. You are advised to study all the subjects and solve previous year WBJEE JECA question papers. Begin practising WBJEE JECA sample papers at least 1 or 2 months before the exam to become accustomed to the exam.

WBJEE JECA syllabus is available online in the information bulletin as released by the exam authorities. Download the information bulletin and go to APPENDIX –6, page number 23. It is available online at wbjeeb.nic.in. From the syllabus, the candidates can get to know the units and topics on which they will need to prepare for the upcoming entrance exam.
