ACJ Entrance Exam 2025: The exam body, the Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) is expected to release the ACJ 2025 application form soon. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be able to fill out the ACJ Entrance exam application form 2025 both online and offline. After applying, shortlisted candidates will be required to take an online entrance test in real time. Candidates can take the ACJ entrance exam individually in their homes or anywhere they can access a computer with an internet connection. Candidates applying for the ACJ Entrance exam will be intimated through the ACJ Entrance Exam Admit Card, within a week of receiving applications. The date and time of the online test and the date and time of the online interview will also be provided on the admit cards. The test will assess the candidate’s English language skills, general knowledge, and awareness of current affairs. From the year 2023 onwards, the process of entrance exam has been changed and now the written exam and interviews will be conducted at regular intervals from time to time.

Q:   What is the ACJ entrance examination?

A:

The Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) is an entrance examination conducted by the Media Development Foundation, a not-for-profit public trust established in 1999 to foster journalism as an independent, investigative, socially responsible, and ethical profession. The exam is conducted in online mode and consists of MCQ based questions as well as essay writing. The mode of the question paper is in English. The question paper has questions based on English Language and General Knowledge.

Q:   Is a photojournalism course offered at ACJ?

A:

No, there is no dedicated course on Photojournalism. Although, Photojournalism is taught to students in the first trimester as a subject. There is no separate programme on photojournalism per se. Asian college of Journalism (ACJ) offers two PG Diploma courses - One is the Postgraduate Diploma in Bloomberg Business and Financial Journalism programme and the other is the Postgraduate Diploma in Integrated Multimedia Journalism programme. The minimum eligibility criteria for both these courses as an undergraduate degree.

Q:   I just did my BSc in Biochemistry. Am I eligible to pursue a PGD in New Media?

A:

As per the Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) eligibility criteria, the exam conducting authority allows candidates to apply from any discipline as long as they have completed their graduation from a recognised university. However, during the document verfication process candidates will have to submit relevant qualification details of their degree or else their candidature will be rejected.

Q:   Does ACJ offer postgraduate courses?

A:

No, if you are looking for regular post graduate courses, than ACJ doesn't provide that however, the Asian College of Journalism (AVJ) offers admission to postgraduate Diploma courses. The duration of each Diploma course offered by ACJ is one year. Candidates can pursue PG Diploma in Journalism and PG Diploma in Business and Financial Journalism (BFJ) from the Asian College of Journalism (ACJ).

What is ACJ Entrance Exam?

The Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) conducts the ACJ Entrance Exam to offer candidates admission to various postgraduate diploma courses offered at the institute. The courses offered are -

The ACJ entrance exam is an institute-based online examination conducted annually. The entrance exam evaluates students in two parts - English language skills and general knowledge. Students who pass the test are called for an online interview. From the year 2023, the ACJ exam is conducted as a staggered on-going admission process i.e. the exam is conducted at regular intervals.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory. Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission to the ACJ-Bloomberg Business and Financial Journalism program and ACJ Integrated Multimedia Journalism program. 

Candidates who are yet to write their undergraduate degree examination as well as those awaiting the results of their undergraduate examination are also eligible to apply. Enrolled students will have to provide their marksheet or degree certificate to the Registrar ideally within the first week of commencement of classes. However, if the undergraduate exam results are likely to be delayed, more time could be given for the submission of the certificates. All students awaiting their examination results had to provide their degree certificate by the end of March 2025.

Aspiring students have to follow the steps to apply and get an admission to ACJ -

Step 1: Fill ACJ Entrance Exam Application Form

Candidates will have to fill out the application form for ACJ admissions 2025 online (on the official website of the college) or offline (by downloading the form from the official website of the college and thereafter posting it to the concerned authorities). 

Step 2: Pay the application fee

The application fee for the ACJ entrance exam is INR 2,360/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%). Candidates applying for both programmes need to pay only one application fee. The fee payment can be made as an online transfer or sent as a Demand Draft in favour of “Media Development Foundation”, payable at Chennai. Students are also advised to ensure that their full names, email IDs and mobile numbers are mentioned while making the payment. In the case of online transfer, the applicants will be directed to the Online Payment gateway once the form is completely filled out. The applicants are requested to keep their credit card/ debit card/ net banking details ready for making the payment. The applicants using the payment gateway service are required to pay the convenience fee as prescribed by the service.

Note: SC/ ST applicants are exempted from the application fee given that they provide their community certificates.

Step 3: Intimation Through Email

Candidates who successfully apply for admission to ACJ programmes will receive an email detailing the process of connecting online for the examination. 

Step 4: Appear for the ACJ Entrance Exam

After a careful assessment of applications, shortlisted candidates will be required to take an online entrance test. Candidates can take the test individually in their homes or at any place where they have access to a computer with an internet facility. From the year 2023, the process of the online entrance test and the online interview that followed were made ongoing and now they will be held at regular intervals. Candidates applying for either or both of the programmes will be intimated, within a week of filling out the application form, of

a) the date and time of the online test, and
b) date and time of the online interview to follow.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2025 Syllabus

The Asian College of Journalism does not specify any syllabus for the entrance exam. In this exam, candidates are usually asked MCQs based on English language skills, general knowledge, and awareness of current affairs. ACJ Entrance Exam 2025 Pattern

As per the official website, candidates have to appear for the ACJ entrance exam followed by an online interview.   • The aim should be to score well in the entrance exam.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2025 Admit Card

ACJ entrance exam admit card is sent by email to those candidates who have successfully filled out the application forms. The email containing information regarding the online exam and online interview must be kept safe as it contains all the instructions that a candidate must follow during the examination and online interview. The email regarding information of examination for the ACJ entrance exam will be sent to only those candidates who have duly filled and submitted their application form.
