Q:   What is the Sales and Marketing course all about?

A:

A Sales and Marketing course is a course that helps individuals gain knowledge about customer behaviour and the nitty-gritty of the market. The students are taught about different concepts and facets of sales and marketing, which enables them to make quick and effective decisions, while managing real-time business activities in the future.

Sales and Marketing courses are meant to give learners a strong understanding of how to effectively advertise and sell products or services to specific audiences, as well as how to build and implement successful marketing strategies.

Q:   What is the difference between marketing and sales?

A:

For any company selling a product, the concepts of marketing and sales are very important, as they can mean the difference between success and failure. While they are often used interchangeably or grouped they are two different concepts and it is important to understand those differences.

Sales refers to the short-term need to close a sale, get an agreement signed, or ultimately do what needs to be done to sell whatever it is you are selling. Sales techniques and strategies are based on what it takes to 'close the deal', which is crucial to any business.

If you get customers in the door but cannot get them to buy a product, there is a problem with your sales strategy. Sales strategies are focused on the individual buyer and what needs to be done for them to pull out their wallet, or click on the buy button when it comes to online selling.

Companies typically set sales volume targets for a period (weeks, months, and quarters) and have strategies in place where the individuals responsible for actually selling can make those targets. Marketing is a longer-term concept than sales and relates to forward-looking strategies to understand customer needs, influence customer perceptions, and identify how a company can capitalize on that.

The result of the marketing process, and what it directly supports, is making sales easier. Marketing techniques and strategies are based on what it takes to identify the right product mix, the prices for those products, and what needs to be communicated to target customers (via advertisement) to ensure successful sales.

One of the key aspects of marketing strategies is building a brand identity for what a company is selling and this varies from company to company. McDonald's obviously brands its food and advertising far differently than a luxury steakhouse would do. While sales are the 'push' to buy the product once the customer is there, marketing is the 'pull' that gets the customer to you in the first place.

When marketing is done effectively it can also make sales a far easier job for a company, as the customer can already be convinced and ready to buy by the time they enter your store (or website). Sales can still succeed without very effective marketing but it certainly makes the job more difficult.

Q:   Is Digital Marketing with Marketing a good combination for MBA?

A:

Yes, digital marketing is a good option in combination to MBA in marketing. Every MNC has created a separate sub department of digital marketing in their marketing department, which focusses on marketing through digital media. They focus on SEO and SMO. You will get more job opportunities with digital marketing. You can opt for international business as well.

Q:   How to prepare for CAT?

A:
he CAT itself should ideally be given with 6 months preparation, as then a student has enough time to space out his preparation and work at a comfortable pace. Also, for working professionals who dont have as much time on their hands as the college students, and who perhaps have to devote more time to preparation than college students, it is essential to start early. Several steps which are key to giving a good CAT cannot be taken overnight or crammed into a couple of weeks time. Starting early enables a student to work out the best possible strategy and implement it effectively. Some measures I believe students should take to enhance their level of preparation are:1. Identify the time of day when you study the best: If you are starting 6 months before the CAT, you have enough time to plan out your preparation, and dont need to study for more than two hours a day at this stage. Now is a good time to experiment by studying at different times in the day (whenever possible) to find what time suits you best. When you need to crank up the hours you put in later on, youll know exactly when you feel at your freshest and concentrate best. As far as possible, try giving tests on Sundays (or other holidays) at the CAT time (10 in the morning). Try making this a sort of ritual so you get used to giving a CAT-type test every Sunday morning.2. Subscribe to a daily newspaper and/or a weekly news magazine: 60% of the Verbal Ability section in a typical CAT paper comprises of Reading Comprehension passages. Cultivating the reading habit is therefore essential to your CAT preparation. Indeed, even if you solve only RC with an accuracy of 70% (very achievable), you will comfortably clear your VA cut-offs without even having to touch the dreaded grammar section. Reading a daily newspaper and a weekly news magazine has several purposes. It increases your speed of reading. It also ensures that you are quickly able to pick up the salient points in even abstract passages. Finally, it also broadens your horizons and gives you something to talk about in the Group Discussions and Personal Interviews that come later.3. Study in bursts: If you are one of those that need to warm-up for an hour before beginning to be able to concentrate and study productively, now is the time to break that habit. The entire CAT evaluation (including GD/PI) is designed for people who can switch on and switch off for short periods of time. You need to be able to start concentrating almost immediately..

Q:   How do I prepare well for the SNAP exam?

A:
Tips for your SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Entrance Exam: Steps 1- Take The Right Mock Test. 2- Establish Your Study Agenda. 3- Develop Your Study Plan. 4- On a daily basis Read Newspapers. 5- Reading books. 6- Watching English movies or news. 7- Participating or taking up quizzes online. 8- Try to solve puzzles to sharpen your reasoning skills. 9- practice previous years' papers. Sales and Marketing Course FAQs

Here are some important questions related to the Sales and Marketing Course:

Q:   Is it necessary to pursue MBA after completing BBA?

A:

Hi

Although there is no hard and fast rule about pursuing an MBA after completing a BBA, in today's cutthroat competitive world, those with a higher level of education, which encompasses a broader range of knowledge, exposure, and experience, are expected to have a better chance of achieving their goals. However, if throughout the BBA curriculum, a student decides to pursue an alternative career path that does not necessitate an MBA, he or she may do so. A BBA + MBA degree is also insufficient. No amount of education can ensure success if a person is not passionate or driven enough to put in the effort.

I hope it helps!
