It can be difficult to get into India's best DU colleges for a BA, but you can significantly improve your chances if you prepare well and use the appropriate approach. Here are some crucial actions that you can take:

  • Aiming for a  good score in Class 12 will be preferable especially the subject that is relevant tou your chosen programme.
  • As CUET results are now the main factor used to determine admissions, make sure you study hard for the test. Become familiar with the new format, topics included in the curriculum, and types of questions. Make use of last year's papers, practice exams, etc.
  • Regurarly check for notifications from Du regarding admission.
  • Based on factors including ranking, reputation, course options, and campus atmosphere, identify and rank your top DU colleges.

Q:   Can I do an MBA after a BA?

A:
In most of the top institutions like IIMs etc. The minimum eligibility for graduation is 50% aggregate while some top players like LPU have fixed it at 55% in any stream of graduation. But the marks in graduation are not the only criteria, Most of the institutions also take entrance tests or group discussions or interviews or all of them. Some top entrance examinations are: CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, IBSAT and LPUNEST. So, it is perfectly okay to do MBA after BA provided you are eligible as per marks and also comply with the other selection criteria if any. Very important point that comes to my mind is : You must first check your interests, attitude, passion and aspiration before taking a plunge, your aptitude will be checked by the university itself with the examination or interview. It is advisable to pursue the MBA only from top institutions, as only they provide the right launchpad for your career. I can see that you are concerned about career and want to make it big. So choose your college on the right parameters. Per my experience of 16 years as an educator, I see it from the point of view of following parameters: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the program is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the MBA program must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel etc are must for any professional to succeed in career. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc are given high importance in the organisations. The program must include the training or modules on all these. Community service: A bit of community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person as well as learn the organizing skills. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos.
