Q:   Can I do Nursing courses after Class 10?

A:

No, class 12 or equivalent education qualifications are required for most Nursing courses, and certain subjects, like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, are a must to be eligible for the courses.
But there are some Diploma courses in nursing like Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) which one can pursue after Class 10.
Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) is a one-year Diploma course in basic health care and midwifery nursing and concerns the study of the provision of basic health care, maternal care, and midwifery skills. This is an undergraduate level course for applicants who have passed their Class 10 and are now looking forward to a career in nursing. ANM graduates primarily work in primary health care settings, assisting a registered nurse with providing essential nursing care.

Q:   Is it possible to do a nursing course after completing Class 12th from commerce?

A:

Yes, it's feasible. However, having studied commerce in Class 12 limits eligibility to pursue only one Nursing course: ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery). Presently, there has been a government decision to eliminate the GNM course.

While these options are considered outdated in comparison to BSc Nursing, individuals with a Commerce background are not eligible for pursuing a BSc in Nursing.

No, you are not eligible for the B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year undergraduate course that train nurses to ACT critically and think clear in critical situations while taking care of the patient. The eligibility for the course is: the candidate must have completed +2 education with Physics Chemistry and Biology.

But there is course called ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery), anyone who has passed 12th with any stream is eligible for this course. It is Diploma course which focuses on the health care od different individuals. Hope it helps.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for admission to Nursing courses?

A:

The eligibility criteria for a Nursing course vary depending on the institution and the level of the course. However, there are some general requirements that most institutions follow.

To be eligible for a Nursing course, the candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in the Science stream. Some institutions may also require the candidate to have studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects at the high school level.

Moreover, the candidate should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission. The age requirement may vary depending on the institution.

Additionally, some institutions may require the candidate to meet certain physical and medical requirements. This is because Nursing is a physically demanding profession that requires a significant amount of stamina and strength.

Furthermore, proficiency in English is essential for candidates who wish to pursue a Nursing course. Some institutions may require the candidate to take an English language proficiency test and score a minimum number of marks.

Q:   How can I become a nurse without NEET?

A:

NEET is just an entrance examination for Medical and Dental courses across India. There are plenty of colleges that, on the basis of entrance examinations, offer nursing courses that include KCET, NEET, JKCET, CUET, IPU CET, KEAM, etc.
However, do check up on the admission requirements of the nursing programs you are applying to. This will let you know if the programs conduct some type of entrance exam on their own or are based on merit and thus do not require any NEET scores.
