Students who are registered under CS Executive new syllabus and CS Professional new syllabus shall have to appear for the Pre examination test to become eligible to enroll and appear for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. The exam will be conducted by ICSI. the exam will be served as an eligibility criteria to appear for the main examinations. Candidates will be required to pay the pre examination test fee of INR 1000 online. Once the payment is realised, candidates will be sent invitation along with the login ID and password.

CS Executive examination is held twice in a year- June and December. Candidates must ensure to fulfill the below mentioned ICSI eligibility criteria to appear for the CS Executive examination:

• Candidate must have passed the CS Executive Entrance Test or CSEET with the required score. 
• Candidate must have cleared the Foundation Examination of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India
• Cleared Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
• Arts, Science, and Commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates (excluding Fine Arts) are eligible for admission to the CS Executive programme.
• Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age. 

ICSI CS examinations for CS Executive, Professional is conducted at designated CS exam centres acroiss various cities in India. Only candidates who will fill the ICSI CS application form along with the payment of the application fee will be able to know the alloted exam centre when the admit card is released. 

To fill the ICSI CS Executive examination application form, candidates must ensure to keep the following documents ready to avoid any last minute hassle. Check the list of documents mentioned below:

2. Signature of the candidate
3. DOB certificate or 10th pass certificate
4. Qualification certificate- Class 12th marksheet/certificate or CSEET pass certificate

3. File size of student photos should be between 20kb to 50kb.
4. File Size of student signature should be between 10kb to 20kb.

Students who have completed their 10+2 education in any stream can apply for the ICSI CS course. Candidates require no minimum percentage to appear/apply for the CS examination. Class 12th passed candidates must appear for the CSEET examination and score a minimum of 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject to qualify for the CS Executive examination.

ICSI CS December 2025 enrollment process for CS Executive and CS Professional programme has commenced on August 26, 2025. Candidates who have already registered for the CS Executive programme/ CS Professional programme can enroll for the programme online. To become a Company Secretary candidates will have to pass the three levels prescribed below:

1. CSEET: CS Executive Entrance Test is the entry-level examination afor class 12th candidates. 
2. CS Executive Exam: After clearing the CSEET exam or having a Bachelors degree as per the eligibility criteria, candidates can register and enroll for the CS Executive exam.
3. CS Professional Exam: After clearing the CS Executive examination, candidates can enroll for the CS Professional programme.

ICSI CS Executive admit card and CS Professional admit card will mention the following details on the hall ticket:

On the day of the CS Executive examination, candidates must ensure to carry the following documents, failing which candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall:

ICSI CS December 2025 enrollment process commenced on August 26, 2025. Candidates while filling the enrollment form are advised to enter the details carefully. The enrollment form, once submitted, cannot be edited. However, authorities open the windows for enrollment services wherein candidates can edit a few details. • ICSI CS Executive June 2025 exam will be held for a duration of three hours i.e., 9 AM to 12.15 PM. Candidates will get 15 minutes from 9 AM to 9.15 AM for reading the question paper. 
• ICSI CS Executive December 2025 will be held from 2 PM to 5.15 PM. Candidates will get 15 minutes time to read the question paper from 2 PM to 2.15 PM.

The difficulty level of ICSI CS Executive or CS Professional examination may vary. The difficltuly level varies depending upon the preparation level of candidate. CS Executive is the secomd level of CS course. CS Executive is the second level of the CS course. The CS Executive course is divided into two groups consisting of four and three papers whereas, CS Professional course is dicided into two groups along with two elective papers. Additionaly, CS Professional course includes practical training wherein students gain hands on experience of CS practices. This practical training along woth the theoretical studies adds to the difficulty level of the Professional course in general.

The Institute of Compnay Secretaries of India does not announce the scores of the toppers. The list of CS Executive toppers is released soon after the declaration of results. To appear for CS Executive exam,

• candidates must wear light clothes with no pockets and full sleeves

The ICSI CS Executive examination is a combination of descriptiove and Multiple Choice Questions. The exam is divided in Two groups. The first group consist of four papers and second paper consists of three papers. Each paper will consist of maximum 100 marks. The medium of ICSI CS Executive question paper is English only.

Candidates will be exempted from papers in CS Executive examination based on their educational qualification. Candidates must provide the following documents for exemption:

While some students prefer to appear for one group at a time to focus on subjects better.

CS Professional exam is a closed book examination except for elective papers which will be a open book test. ICSI CS Professional exam consists of 7 papers and 2 elective papers. The 7 CS Professional papers will be held in closed book format.

No, CS Professional exam syllabus does not change every year. ICSI notifies the update in syllabus. Earlier, ICSI introduced the new CS Professional syllabus in 2022. Candidates must stay updated with the latst notification to know the updates CS Professional syllabus. The first examination under new syllabus 2022 was held in December 2023.
