UPTET 2025: The authority has not yet released the notification PDF for the UPTET exam. It will be released at updeled.gov.in. The wait of the candidates will be over soon. As per the official notice released, the UPTET 2025 exam will be conducted on January 29 and January 30, 2026. The application process will start with the release of the notification PDF. Candidates will be able to download the UPTET Notification from the official website. It is advised to the candidates to read the eligibility critera before applying for the exam. What is UPTET 2025?

UPTET is a state-level exam conducted once a year that makes candidates to gain eligibility for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) conducts the exam on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). UPTET exam is conducted in two shifts for two papers - Papers 1 and 2. UPTET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. On the other hand, UPTET Paper 2 is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 6-8. However, the candidates who wish to become teachers of Classes 1-8 need to appear in both papers of UPTET 2025

The UPTET Notification 2025 will be released soon. UP Government will release the UPTET Notification in Hindi. The Notification for UPTET will contain crucial details of the exam including the application process, eligibility criteria, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus and others. Candidates who qualify for the UPTET exam become eligible to apply for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. Qualifying candidates will receive their UPTET certificate after the declaration of the result.

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will release the UPTET Notification in Hindi containing the important details regarding the exam such as exam date, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, result declaration criteria, etc. UPTET Notification 2025 will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) in PDF format on the official website. Candidates who want to be the primary teacher of classes 1 to 8 must go through the required to go through official UPTET Notification PDF carefully to be well-informed about the entire exam process and important dates related to the exam events.

UPTET Application Form: Documents Required

When filling out the form, you may need to refer to certain documents to ensure that you provide accurate and complete information. 

  • Aadhaar Card or any other government-issued photo ID proof
  • Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
  • Date of Birth certificate

UPTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Have a look at the basic UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2025 below in terms of UPTET age limit and UPTET educational qualification:

UPTET Age limit for Paper 1 & Paper 2

Candidates should have attained a minimum of 18 years of age in order to be eligible to apply for the UPTET exam. There is no upper age limit in the UPTET exam.

UPTET Educational Qualification for Paper 1 & Paper 2

The education qualification differs for Paper 1 and 2. Have a look at the detailed criteria below:

UPTET Paper 1 Educational Qualification (Primary Teacher)

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the eligibility conditions mentioned below in terms of educational qualification in order to appear for the UPTET Paper 1:

  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed)

UPTET Paper 2 Educational Qualification (Upper Primary Teacher)

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the eligibility criteria given below in terms of educational qualification in order to appear for the UPTET Paper 2:

  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd
  • Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BScEd

UPTET Certificate 2025: Validity

The UPTET certificate is now valid forever. Ramesh Pokhariyal, Indian Education Minister has announced that the validity of the TET certificate is extended for a lifetime. Earlier the validity of the certificates was 5 years. Candidates qualifying for the UPTET 2025 exam will be the first batch of candidates with a lifetime UPTET certificate. They can apply for teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh schools at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria fixed by the respective recruiting agency.

UPTET 2025 Selection Process

 

  • Notification: The UPTET Selection Process begins with the release of notification. It is available as a PDF file that contains the important details including the application process, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus and others.

  • Application form: The second stage involves the registration process. Candidates need to do Registration in order to appear for the examination. For the successful submission of the application form, candidates need to pay the fee. The fee is INR 600 for the General category, INR 400 for SC/ST and INR 100 for PwD.

  • Admit card: It is issued to those candidates who successfully submit their applications for the exam. Candidates need to download it and carry it to the exam centre on exam day.

  • Conducting of exam: The exam consists of two papers. In both papers, a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked. Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in the exam. 

  • UPTET result: The result is announced by the exam conducting authority on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring a minimum of 60 per cent marks in the written exam are declared as qualified.

  • Eligibility certificate: Candidates qualifying for the test are issued an eligibility certificate by the exam authority. Candidates with the certificate are eligible to apply for teaching jobs in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The validity of the eligibility certificate is now extended for a lifetime.

  • Salary: UPTET is an eligibility exam that is qualifying in nature. Qualifying for the exam does not guarantee a job to candidates. Therefore, there is no fixed salary structure. However, candidates who are able to qualify for the exam along with the UP teacher recruitment process are offered a good salary package. The salary differs according to the qualifications and job position.
