IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Almost the whole college gets placed. The highest package was around 1.8 cr. I'm not really sure about the lowest, though. Top recruiters are Google, Kepler Canon, Amazon, and Microsoft. Around 40 percent get internships. In my course, placements are quite low, but it's nice.

Placements: 90% of students in my course were placed. The highest package is around 54 LPA, the lowest 14 LPA, and the average is 22 LPA. Top companies include Google, Qualcomm, and many more. 50% of students got internships for SDE roles. Almost all students get placed. Lots of opportunities are available on campus to grow our skills. There are many societies and clubs available for lots of experiences.

Placements: As per last year's statistics, 68.75% of students get placed with the highest and minimum package of 33 and 8.5 Lacs, respectively. The average package was 17.96 lacs, and the median package was 16.50 lacs. Companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc. come every year for placements. Approximately 30 to 40% % students get internships in companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc.

Placements: Almost 80-90 percent of students are placed. The rest either go for higher studies or don't sit for placements. The highest salary goes to around 70-90 LPA, the lowest around 5-10 LPA, and the average is around 25 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Texas Instruments, Nvidia, and Amazon, etc. About 50 percent get internships, and the companies are the same as the recruiting ones. Top roles offered are software engineer, electrical engineer, etc.

Placements: Placements were really good and the package offered to students was quite impressive. The maximum package offered was 30 Lacs, and the average package size was 14 Lacs per annum. Internships were available for students in every semester and above 75% of students got placements from the campus. The placement cell is very responsive.

Placements: In my course, 4 year B.Teach Aerospace Engineering, 38% of the total students got the placement. The highest package was 19.6 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 3 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies were Microsoft, American Express, Air India, Zomato, Flipkart and many others. Among 4 year B.Teach students, 38% of the students got placements and among 5 year dual degree (B.Teach + M.Teach), 50% of the students got the placements.

Placements: Placements here at IIT Kharagpur were very good and many companies were arrived for placements and 80% students got the placements and other students started their own ventures. The package size starts from 14 lacs per annum to 28 lacs per annum and internships were provided to students by the college.

Placements: Almost all the students either get the placement or opt for higher studies from my course. The highest package offered is about 1 crore, while the average package is about 22 LPA. Almost all the companies came here to provide placements. Also, the research internship is a great option for most students here.

Placements: Our college has a great placement record. In the 2023-24 session, a total of 1353 offers were made, and 70% to 80% of students from each department got placed. We're supposed to apply for internships in our fifth and sixth semesters, which we can do in the summer vacation of our third year. All kinds of companies visit our campus, including Google, Microsoft, Samsung, BCG, McKinsey, and American Express. Various rounds of selection are held.

Placements: 65% of students are placed with the highest package of 46 lakh and the lowest of 8 lakh. Gensler and HCP Design are two of the biggest recruiters in the architecture department. As internship is compulsory for the degree to be completed. The internship rate is 100%.

Placements: 83 percent of students in chemical engineering department are placed. The average package is about 20 LPA. Highest is 52 LPA and lowest is 10 LPA as per previous data and statistics. Google, ford, Shell, HSBC, Arpwood these are major recruiting in core finance and software. Most of the students are placed in core and non tech. And they got Pre placement offer. Placements: The placement here at IIT Kharagpur is definitely above average. However, due to the recession, only 75–80% of the students in my course got placed this year. The highest package was 85 lpa, the lowest was 6 lpa and the average package was around 19 lpa. The top recruiting companies were mainly the software companies. Top roles offered were software developers. However, there were jobs in consulting and finances also.

Placements: There are about 75 percent of the students who were placed in my course. The highest package was 16 lacs, the average package was 10 lacs and the lowest package was 5 lacs. Many reputed and popular companies came to our college for recruitment and several students got internships.

Placements: Our batch is of the year 2022 and will be passing out in the year 2026. I am in the department of mining engineering and 63 percent of students get placed here. The highest package in my department is 45 LPA and the average is 18 LPA. Coal India comes as the top recruitment company and 5 percent of students got internships in companies like Amazon and IBM. We can practice tech and nontech roles like data analytics, software development and many more.

Placements: Around 80% of them get placed on campus, and the remaining 20% usually get placed off campus. The highest package would be around 60 LPA, and the lowest can be as low as 7 LPA. The average would be around 22 LPA. Top companies like gas, oil, and semiconductors usually come for core branches. 70% of students get into internships; most of them go for tech, and some people get placed in Microsoft and Google also. It's a really broad spectrum course.

Placements: The placements are pretty decent; almost 65% were placed last season despite the recession in the market. The average salary was between 18 and 20 lpa. A similar placement percentage was observed in my branch, and the top recruiting job roles were software developer, data analyst, consultant, and product management.

Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are top recruiting companies for our course. More than 95% of students got internships.

Placements: The percentage of the students who were placed in my course or department was 80 percent. The highest package was 18 lacs, the average package was 12 lacs, and the lowest package was 6.5 lacs. The top recruiting companies were Wipro, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra.

Placements: Students who want to take placements can easily secure them after some exams. The average package is 12 lakh per annum, while the highest package was about 1 crore per annum. Top recruitment companies include Google, Microsoft, PwC, etc. Almost all students get internships, and the top roles for my course are as researchers.

Placements: Around 65% of students got placed this season, mainly during this recession time. Apart from CSE, my branch saw around 50% getting selected for CDC internships. Starting from Google and Microsoft to TCS, various companies have participated in the placements. The most booming field is tech, with SDE being the most popular. Consultancy also plays a vital role for students interested in the management field.
