Know the highest package CAs got at ICAI Campus Placements

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) held its second campus placement programme at Mumbai. The highest package for international posting, offered to three students by Alghanim industries, is Rs 24.64 lakhs per annum. Alghanim industries are one of the largest private owned industries in the Gulf region, mentioned ICAI in an official statement.

ICAI conducts placements across 16 cities in the country. ‘Despite an economic slump, the recruiters included leading companies like ITC, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Alghanim Industries, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., Wipro Ltd., Madura Fashion and Life Style, Marriott Hotels India. More than 624 students got recruited during the campus placement programme,’ said the statement.

CA Subodh Kumar Agrawal, president, ICAI said, "We are happy to see the response of the companies at our campus placement programme despite the current phase of economic slowdown. As many as 58 organisations offered jobs to our students and the salary package offered to them ranged between Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 24.67 lakhs."

Moving on, ICAI organised its campus placement programme at Kochi for the first time. Various firms including Wipro Ltd, Synthite Industries Ltd, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, Kerala Ayurveda Ltd, DM Healthcare (P) Ltd, Unisis Systems & Solutions (I) Pvt Ltd and GTN Textiles Ltd participated in it. The institute had shortlisted around 55 CMAs, out of which 20 secured placements at the venue, V Santhosh Kumar, chairman, Kochi chapter of ICAI, said.

The average salary offered is around Rs 6 lakh per annum with the highest package being Rs 11 lakh.
