Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding each with the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas at Austin; Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU); and the Institute of International Education (IIE), in Washington. Under the memoranda, FICCI and the collaborators intend to promote education and training programmes, among other activities, in India.

The MoU with IC2 Institute is for stronger links for technology commercialisation programmes. The two organisations plan to explore more possibilities of cooperation for academic programmes, scientific exchanges and joint research.

This would involve the introduction of new programmes in India to enable Indian innovators bring their ideas to the world. The MoU with Polytechnic Institute of NYU is for developing programmes and events to facilitate government, industry, and higher education partnerships in research and business.

IIE, a non-profit educational and cultural exchange organisation in the US, will work with FICCI to facilitate more student exchanges and build academic ties between the two countries.
