Top 10 Commerce Colleges in India 2021 - India Today Rankings
SRCC has been ranked No. 1 commerce college in India, yet again. Check out the all India ranking of top 10 commerce colleges in India by India Today.
Top 10 commerce colleges in India ranked by India Today for 2021 include five colleges from Delhi, two from Mumbai, two from Chennai and one from Bengaluru. There are no surprises again this year, as Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University has bagged the first position. The renowned college has been ranked first for the second time in a row in the last four years. SRCC’s neighbouring college, Hindu College has been ranked Number 2 for the second year in the row. Hindu College lost its Number 1 spot to SRCC in 2020. Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University has also retained its rank (Number 3) from last year. Similarly, Hansraj College, Delhi University too has retained it rank from last year, at Number 4.
While there has been no change in the rankings from last year of top four commerce colleges in India, there is change at Number 5. Loyola College, Chennai which was ranked Number 6 in 2020, has pushed down Christ University’s Dept of Commerce a rank below.

Shri Ram College of Commerce, established in 1920 is one of the oldest commerce colleges in India. he college got affiliated to the University of Delhi in 1926. It was upgraded to the status of a Degree College in 1931 and started awarding its graduates the B. A. (Pass) (Commerce Group) Degree of the University. Currently, SRCC offers BCom H, BA (H) Economics, MCom, MA Economics and PG Diploma in Global Business Operations. Admission to UG courses is merit-based, while for PG courses, the candidates have to appear for entrance exams.

Hindu College, Delhi University is over 100 years old. It was founded by by Late Shri Krishna Dassji Gurwale in 1899. The college has been a witness and contributor to the making of modern India.
Hindu College offers UG and PG courses in all streams but is best known for its Commerce department. Admission to the courses are based on merit, through centralized DU application process.

LSR, Delhi University: Rank 3
Lady Shri Ram College for Women is located in South Campus, Delhi University. LSR is not only top ranked for Commerce, but also for Arts. Established in 1956, LSR offers UG and PG courses in Science, Arts and Commerce. Admission is largely based on merit, except for a few courses for which candidates have to appear for an entrance test.

Christ (Deemed to be University) was founded in 1969 as Christ College. The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conferred Autonomy in 2004 and it Deemed to be University in 2008. Christ University is a popular institution in not only Karnataka but across India. It has a total of five campuses, three in Bangalore, one in Pune (Maharashtra) and one in Ghaziabad (UP).

This year’s rankings have been published as part of the 25th India Today Best Colleges Survey. Conducted by Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA) this year, the survey focused on how colleges had raised their game to meet the digital education challenge. According to the magazine, a total of 1,559 colleges participated in the survey this year.
